DOUCHEBAG OF THE WEEK: MITT ROMNEY

I whole heartedly expect Mitt to be in quite a few of these in the upcoming weeks as he lies about why he would be better than Obama in the White House, along with the GOP propaganda machine. Let's look at those runner ups.

1)Randy Lee Tenley- A future nominee for the Darwin awards, this brainpower thought it would hysterical to dress up like Bigfoot and scare passing vehicles. Nevermind the fact that I HATE hoaxers, as they mess up true scientific studies with their shenanigans (and yes people, Bigfoot may indeed exist as there are many experts in the field who have found near definitive evidence that cannot be easily explained away, unlike UFO's or psychics which are almost always hoaxes or misidentification), but, as this individual found out, highly dangerous. Case in point, if you are wearing a dark, shaggy outfit on the side of the road at night, chances are you are going to get hit, which is exactly what happened to Captain numnuts here. After the first car spun him into the road, a second car finished him off. This would be funny if it wasn't so damned pathetic. RIP loser.

2)TSA- It wouldn't be a douchebag column without an appearance from the old standby of the TSA. These assholes are showing up everywhere, most recently at the RNC which Ron Paul supporters must have loved. Speaking of Ron Paul, the modern day Brownshirts accosted Paul as he was leaving a small airport in Clearwater, FL. Eight fascists told Paul he had to be screened as Mitt Romney's plane was nearby. Ron Paul is a respected member of Congress and this kind of treatment is exactly the kind of crap you get in a totalitarian society where thugs want to make an example of you. NO member of Congress, down to the nutty ones like Bachmann and West, should ever be screened by TSA. THEY ARE NOT TERRORISTS. To behave like they are is horrifying and disrespectful Here is a Ron Paul interview from CNN:

“There’s no way you can travel if you don’t do it. So I’ve said, you know, when you look at some of these pictures of probing groin areas and breast areas and all this, and old women having to take their clothes off, if we as a people are so complacent that we can look at that and say, oh, that’s OK, they’re making us safe.”

“It doesn’t make us safe. It undermines our liberties and there’s a much better way of giving us security at the airports than accepting the bureaucrats and the politicians in Washington. That is totally unacceptable from my viewpoint.” Paul said.

In 2010, Paul introduced the American Traveler Dignity Act to shield Americans from the abuses of the TSA.

“My legislation is simple,” he said in prepared remarks. “It establishes that airport security screeners are not immune from any US law regarding physical contact with another person, making images of another person, or causing physical harm through the use of radiation-emitting machinery on another person. It means they are subject to the same laws as the rest of us.”

It is exactly this kind of legislation that the modern day Gestapo of the TSA/DHS want to stop. These security measures do not work and are actually making us less safe. Not one terrorist has been stopped since these steps have been taken and, as a matter of fact, have allowed some terrorists like the Undibomber to skate through these so called preventive measures. The TSA must be abolished and the right to free travel established again, as the Constitution demands. Tyranny looms.

3)Yahoo- This week at the RNC, their Washington Bureau chief, David Chalian was fired for making a minorly inappropriate statement which, in my opinion, was way more extreme a reaction from a largely true statement. Here is what he said during a moment he didn't realize his mike was on: Mitt Romney and his wife Ann were "not concerned at all" and "happy to have a party with black people drowning." Isn't that exactly what happened? The GOP whooped it up as people along the Gulf Coast lost everything in flooding worse than Katrina, the same people they are all set to screw over should they come to power. His firing was overkill.

4)Tom Smith- Yet another Republican who is far to stupid to hold office. This week, the man running for Senate in PA put his foot in his mouth when he compared a rape victim having a baby to his daughter who had a baby out of wedlock. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THING ASS! As of right now, his opponent is leading by 19 points. Good. Todd Akin's idiocy hopefully will kill his career possibilities too although recent polls have showed a tightening race which means people from Missouri are really too stupid to live. The whole anti-science thing the GOP has going for it is a backward step for all of mankind.

5)Gina Rinehart- Fat Bastards's twin sister from Australia, and the world richest woman, has this advice for all you people out there wondering why the economy is nose diving for you: IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! Yes, it's not the greedy rich sucking all the wealth from the planet like a giant vacuum cleaner but the unwashed, lazy masses.

"If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain," she said in a magazine piece. "Do something to make more money yourself -- spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working."

Marie Antoinette would have been proud. And did she build her mining empire from the ground up by hard work and dedication? No, this obese bitch inherited from her rich daddy a sum of $30 billion dollars. Wow, how do you survive on that paltry sum? She went on to blame socialism, anti government policies and the minimum wage, which she wants to cut along with taxes for her rich cronies. I hope she pulls a Mama Cass and chokes on a ham sandwich.

6)Clint Eastwood- His speech at the RNC last night was bizarre at best. Besides the fact that using Hollywood elites to push your agenda while simultaneously spitting on them is not the best tactic to win over new recruits. Then, as the speech went on and Eastwood began to hold a conversation with an imaginary Obama, I couldn't decide whether he was acting or losing his mind. The added bonus was this speech overshadowed Romney's as that weird speech was the big story of today. Eastwood also mentioned things like getting out of Afghanistan and closing Gitmo, neither of which are on the GOP platform to accomplish. If you wanted to stump speech for Obama, Clint you did a great job.

7)Job creators- We keep hearing that giving money to rich people will create jobs and they were right if low paying, low skilled jobs are your cup of tea. A recent report form the Labor Dept. found that 60% of the job losses were for people making between $13.84- $21.13, or the middle class. Since then 58% of all jobs created have been between $7.69 and $13.83 or a massive pay cut. Most of the new jobs were in retail and food service, or low paying, go nowhere jobs. If these are the jobs you want more tax cuts for, keep them. I'd rather raise taxes on you and try to create wealth another way because this will only lead to a new, huge poverty class. You can take your slave labor and shove it.

8)Syria- Israeli sources have said that the Russians are leaving Syria and cutting off all aid. If this is true, and I have little reason to doubt that it is, Syria is so screwed as their country is going to be as badly equipped as the rebels at this rate. The chances for an attack on Syria increases dramatically while also decreasing the chances for an all out nuclear war. Assad days are numbered.

9)Morgan Stanley- All indications are this bank is about to go under and take all investor money with it. If you have any kind of balance with the bank, get it out now as, pretty soon, it may disappear with no hope of getting it back thanks to a new federal law that gives the biggest investors their money back first and screws everyone else.

10)Japan- Rumor is Japan is about to run out of money as their fiscal situation is no better than anyone else's on the planet. Much like here, politics is preventing a bill going through their system that would save their economy but the other side wants early elections and are holding it up, meaning they must be following the GOP playbook. Unless some steps are taken, Japan will run out of money sometime next month.

11) Mitt Romney- This speech was terrible. It spelled out nothing that hasn't been debunked, spent more time on his background than anyone cared to hear and provided no reason why anyone should vote for this man or the GOP in general. Let's look at what he said.

Romney, Aug 30-I’m running for president to help create a better future. A future where everyone who wants a job can find a job. Where no senior fears for the security of their retirement. An America where every parent knows that their child will get an education that leads them to a good job and a bright horizon. And unlike the president, I have a plan to create 12 million new jobs.”

Much like VP nominee Ryan, Romney invented a number with no way to implement it. Some have even suggested, like Moody's, that if the economy does create those jobs, Romney will have little effect on the fact that it would have happened anyway with or without him.

Romney, Aug 30-“I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began his presidency with an apology tour. America, he said, had dictated to other nations. No, Mr. President. America has freed other nations from dictators.”

This never happened except in the minds of the Republican party.
Romney, Aug 30-His $716 billion cut to Medicare to finance Obamacare will both hurt today’s seniors and oppress innovation and jobs in medicine.”

This $716 billion is going to cut payment to doctors and insurance companies, not cuts in services. Plus, the Ryan Budget plan has exactly the same amount in both of its incarnations. Romney has pledged to not enact that part, but as it is how we are going to pay for Medicare in the future, Romney's plan will bankrupt it that much quicker.

Romney Aug 30: In the richest country in the history of the world, this Obama economy has crushed the middle class. Family income has fallen by $4,000, but health insurance premiums are higher, food prices are higher, utility bills are higher, and gasoline prices have doubled. Today more Americans wake up in poverty than ever before. Nearly one out of six Americans is living in poverty. Look around you. These are not strangers. These are our brothers and sisters, our fellow Americans.

Income has not fallen $4000 under Obama as most of that drop occurred during the Bush administration. However, income has fallen a lot since the so called recovery of 2009, so Obama is not completely blameless here either. And as for poverty, once again most of those fell into it during the latter Bush years, like your truly here.

All in all, the speech was light on details and unlikely to win over any new voters. While it wasn't the lie fest Ryan gave the night before, it was hardly electrifying either. Obama may not be a great president but he is a great speaker. Expect his speech next week to be far better with, hopefully, a few more specifics than the waste of space the RNC was. So congratulations Mitt Romney you are indeed douchebag of the week.

PAUL RYAN SETS RECORD FOR MOST LIES TOLD IN ANY SPEECH EVER

This is the future of the Republican Party. Paul Ryan's nose, had he been Pinocchio, would have grown to such enormous lengths during his speech at the RNC last night that loggers would have had to cut it down for safety concerns. This is one of the most ham handed attempts at spinning bullshit I have ever witnessed and the party faithful ate it up like it was gold. When did we become such a nation of sniveling idiots, willing to follow any demagogue into our own graves? Let's take a good look at the neverending story of complete and total crap that Paul Ryan vomited forth from his Ayn Rand loving mouth.

The most common theme is that Obama is ruining Medicare while the GOP is there to save it. Nothing could be further from the truth. First, Obamacare isn't destroying Medicare but saving it, according to every major organization that has examined it. Like this from USA Today:

Medicare Actuary, April 23, 2012: [Obama's] Affordable Care Act makes important changes to the Medicare program and substantially improves its financial outlook …

Medicare's money isn't being taken away. The Affordable Care Act calls for slowing the growth in spending, a move that — if successful — would keep the hospital insurance trust fund solvent for longer than if the reductions didn't happen.

Ryan himself proposed keeping most of these same spending cuts in his most recent "Path to Prosperity" budget. Yet, Ryan criticized Obama's cuts as "the biggest, coldest power play of all" and suggested seniors would suffer as a result.

Ryan, Aug. 29: And the biggest, coldest power play of all in Obamacare came at the expense of the elderly. … [T]hey just took it all away from Medicare, $716 billion funneled out of Medicare by President Obama.

The Affordable Care Act calls for a $716 billion reduction in the future growth of Medicare spending over 10 years, with most of that —about $415 billion— coming from a reduction in the future growth of payments to hospitals through Medicare Part A. And Medicare Part A's trust fund, as we've explained before, is in trouble financially. It's set to be insolvent in 2024, even with these spending cuts. Without them, the trust fund wouldn't be able to fully pay projected benefits in 2016, the Medicare trustees estimate.

The GOP is continuing on their long line of half truths to get votes from the rubes. Ryan's Budget Plan destroys Medicare in as little as five years for everyone, yet Obamacare is the boogeyman in the room. Does no one read anymore? Even Fox News saw the RNC speech as a lie-a-thon with very little accuracy about anything. FOX NEWS FOR GOD'S SAKE COULDN'T EVEN SWALLOW THIS CRAP. WHY SHOULD YOU? What else was said you ask that was is bad? Everything.

Ryan: He created a new bipartisan debt commission. They came back with an urgent report. He thanks them, sent them on their way, and then did exactly nothing. Republicans stepped up with good-faith reforms and solutions equal to the problems. How did the president respond? By doing nothing — nothing except to dodge and demagogue the issue.

Ryan himself voted against the debt commission. Obama put Social Security cuts on the table, a risky move at best, at the Republicans still shot him down as tax increase were needed to offset the cuts, a plan Ryan and others turned down. Republicans have themselves to blame for this debacle as well.

Ryan: [The stimulus] cost $831 billion. The largest one-time expenditure ever by our federal government. … You, the American people of this country, were cut out of the deal.

Most of the stimulus went to tax cuts which went overwhelmingly to people making less than $150,000 per year. How that cut out the American people, unless you count the 1%, is terrible math for a so called Professor of Finance and the Intellectual Leader of the GOP. This man needs to sue his former college because he did not get his money's worth.

Ryan: My own state voted for President Obama. When he talked about change, many people liked the sound of it, especially in Janesville, where we were about to lose a major factory.
A lot of guys I went to high school with worked at that GM plant. Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: "I believe that if our government is there to support you, this plant will be here for another hundred years." That's what he said in 2008.
Well, as it turned out, that plant didn't last another year. It is locked up and empty to this day. And that's how it is in so many towns today, where the recovery that was promised is nowhere in sight.

First, Obama does not run GM so plant closings are hardly his fault. Second, the plant closed before Obama even took office so Obama is now responsible for what happened during the Bush administration too? He must be able to mind control people because there is no other way he could be responsible otherwise.

Ryan, Aug. 29: [Obama's presidency] began with a perfect AAA credit rating for the United States; it ends with the downgraded America.

This act was caused entirely by the Republican party in both houses for refusing to raise the debt ceiling. As the AAA credit was entirely Paul Ryan's fault yet again, the mind powers of Obama are frightening for making Ryan vote against his obvious opposite stance on the debt ceiling. Obama must be an X-Man.

Ryan, Aug. 29: "The stimulus was a case of political patronage, corporate welfare, and cronyism at their worst. You, the working men and women of this country, were cut out of the deal.”

The CBO has reported that the stimulus created 3.3 million jobs. Four out of five economists agree. Ryan himself wrote letters requesting stimulus money, then lied about it.

Ryan, Aug 29: “You see, even with all the hidden taxes to pay for the (government) health care takeover…”

One of the biggest lies as government is not taking over health care. It is still being run by private corporations who stand to make billions off the new additions with no government support like the public option most of us wanted. We have a public option here in MA that works very well, unless you listen to the absolute lies coming from the right which have no basis in reality, as the above speech also proves.

Ryan, Aug 29-: “We have a plan for a stronger middle class, with the goal of generating 12 million new jobs over the next four years.”

Might as well promise us all a huge mansion with a new Lexus and supermodel wife while you're at it. There is nothing in the Romney/Ryan plan that even suggests this is possible. LIE! LIE! LIE!

Ryan, Aug 29-“The choice is whether to put hard limits on economic growth, or hard limits on the size of government, and we choose to limit government."

This is like choosing between a steak and bowl of rocks for dinner. There is no evidence that by decreasing government, the economy will rebound. More than likely, as millions of jobs will be lost in the slash and burn GOP strategy, the economy will nose dive as even more people file for unemployment which the Republicans want to kill first, so they might not even get that. With no money for taxes, rent, food and the like, crime will skyrocket like never before. Oh by the way Republicans CAUSED all this debt for Bush policies like the tax cuts and two needless wars, all of which Ryan voted for. I hate this guy.

Ryan, Aug 29- “We have responsibilities, one to another — we do not each face the world alone. And the greatest of all responsibilities, is that of the strong to protect the weak.”

In what universe is the Republican party the ones looking out for poor people. Democrats barely can say that with a straight face, but for the GOP that is downright ludicrous. Their policies overwhelmingly cut services and safety net options from those that can least afford it. To say anything like this is the biggest lie of all and one that is convincing the dumber of the human race to vote against their owns self interests.

This is the common theme of the new GOP: fuck the poor, give everything to rich people and use social issues like gay rights and abortion to muddle the rubes in. Anyone who votes Republican anymore is such a backward hick that I can barely be in the same room with them. If anyone has one good reason to vote for Romney, I am keen to hear it. I can't find one. His policies are provably bad and even his own people can't tell a straight story without delving into pure fiction. Has politics devolved to this where the truth is a dirty word? This party of anti-science and ultra religious wingnuts are exactly the kind of people that destroy worlds. Don't be one to help them.

And by the way Clint Eastwood is speaking tonight, which I find odd as I thought all Hollywood elites were the devil. Oh you mean LIBERAL Hollywood elites. More hypocrisy from a party filled to the hilt with it.

Don't let this fool win. Obama 2012. Warren 2012.

CHRIS CHRISTIE AT THE RNC, HURRICANE ISSAC AND OTHER THINGS THAT BLOW

I hate this time of year. As someone who has to write about what is going on in the world, I have to sit through the RNC bullshit fest and then next week get to watch the almost equally awful DNC. It makes me want to shoot myself.

Last night, Ann Romney took the stage to talk about how she met her husband and how great he is and then I had to throw up because I couldn't take it anymore. I had to double back to the bathroom during Chris Christie, looking more like a New Orleans float than Governor, as he spent the first part of his speech with how he became a politician and his background, waiting 1800 words into a 2600 word speech before Romney was even mentioned. I DON'T CARE! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FIX OUR BROKEN ECONOMY? Then he got to his talking points about how teachers should be happy with the piss poor amount of money they make and how tenure is ruining our civilization. While I would agree that all teachers should have to take a yearly re-certification class, tenure is important, less we have school boards firing teachers for refusing to teach nonsense like creationism or free market enterprise.  Let's look at some highlights from Christie's speech, shall we:

"There's only one thing missing now. Leadership. It takes leadership that you don't get from reading a poll. You see, Mr. President, real leaders don't follow polls. Real leaders change polls."

This must be why your party is hell bent on making abortion illegal under all circumstances and gay marriage punishable by death, which no poll supports. Real leaders look to polls as to what the people want, not pushing your agenda on an unwilling public. That is how dictatorships start.

"Now, I know this simple truth and I'm not afraid to say it: Our ideas are right for America and their ideas have failed America."

This is the party promoting the exact same ideas that caused the financial crisis of 2008. Tax cuts, deregulation, and austerity measures destroyed us and yet here you guys are again living in some Alice in Wonderland country where the past mistakes were all the fault of the democrats and not your unworkable policies that have been proven failures.

"Their plan: whistle a happy tune while driving us off the fiscal cliff, as long as they are behind the wheel of power when we fall."

Isn't this exactly what the GOP did when they had total control over all executive branches? And this is what they want again?

"They believe in teachers unions. We believe in teachers."

This is a blatant lie as unions are the devil to Republicans as they actually provide a livable wage to the average Americans and what the GOP wants is us all living in poverty under a totalitarian rule. Unions helped make the middle class and, as they evaporate (as Camden, NY recently did by firing their union police and hiring scabs to replace them), so goes the middle class. When you wonder why your paycheck keeps getting smaller and smaller remember those unions that you helped defeat is the reason why.

"We all must share in the sacrifice. Any leader that tells us differently is simply not telling the truth."

The middle class is being sacrificed for the elites and that is the truth. My guess Christie is a big, fat liar. Make that a big, obese liar. Let's look at things that he lied through his teeth about.

Christie said he delivered three balanced budgets with lower taxes. He actually cut the state Earned Income Tax Credit for poor people and a once popular tax rebate program for renters and homeowners. His proposed 10% income tax cut has not been accomplished. Poor people were unfairly hurt with these steps. Shocker from a GOP Governor.

Governor Fat Boy also said he took on public sector unions to reform a pension system headed to bankruptcy. Accurate, but the state is still not fully funding the system, meaning it is a temporary fix at best.

Medicare was the biggest bit of nonsense when he said that he was willing to tell seniors the truth about the program changes needed and then never followed up with any specifics, mainly because, under the GOP plan for Medicare, the system will bankrupt itself in as little as five years, with a projected rise in costs for the average 29 year old to be $331,000 more over a lifetime, or in other words, a 100% chance of bankruptcy once you get old if you are not rich. The GOP plan for everything is "get rid of it, it doesn't work," without any plans to fix them instead. I am not saying the democrats have better plans for our future (they don't), but at least they are not going to put us all in the poor house by the end of a Romney administration.

Here's a telling bit of news not getting the attention it deserves. Two attendees were thrown out of the RNC yesterday for throwing peanuts at a black CNN camerawoman while shouting "This is how you feed the animals." This is the GOP for you: racist, homophobic bastards determined to take America back to what it once was: an Arctic region covered in ice.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Issac is taking away a lot from the convention as the storm has decided it really likes New Orleans and wants to stay for a while. The storm was stationary for some time today and even now is only slowly moving out. I have two things to say about this storm.

One, Grand Isle, La. and Plaquemines Parish inhabitants were given a mandatory evacuation order which some chose to ignore. Then they huddled on the rooftops waiting for rescue. YOU WERE TOLD TO LEAVE AND DECIDED TO STAY SO TOO BAD! Either these wastes of space should be allowed to drown or charged for their incompetence that should be levied on them. Shelters were available for all so if you wanted to stay and risk life and limb you should be on your own. These are the same assholes crying about government being the problem but have no issue calling 911 when then are in trouble due to their own stupidity. What do you think government is you backward hicks? Two morons had to be rescued from a levee they were stranded on because there is no better place to be during a hurricane than on a earthen levee that everyone expected to flood, which it did. Get these jokers a Darwin award stat.
Second, people like Bobby Jindal should get ZERO dollars for rebuilding as these fuckwads are the same idiots spouting about how government money is killing the economy but are first in line with their hands out when they actually need the funds. The same deregulation nonsense is the reason we keep rebuilding these shanty towns on the coast with no oversite. A recent study done done by Insurance Institute for Business Home and Safety recently released their findings for the Gulf Coast area. Florida scored the highest at 95 out of 100 and even Louisiana scored an impressive 73 out of 100. Alabama scored 18 and Mississippi got a 4. Why are we allowing these kinds of construction in places were hurricanes happen and the taxpayers get the bill? Isn't this the kind of things we shouldn't be funding? But god forbid we have things like building codes because of the "socialist, Kenyan Obama," or some other similar nonsense. Regulations are being gutted in these red states who cry at the top of their lungs about government stimulus while simultaneously raiding what little money we have left to build crappy structures in flood plains. These assholes should get nothing and like it. This is what a world without government looks like. Enjoy.
Lastly, we find that last months photo op with Romney at Murray Energy with dozens of coal miners "supporting" him, was actually a mandatory attendance policy with anyone not attending getting fired and, of course, no pay for the day for actually showing up. This is the GOP philosophy in action. Do what I tell you and don't ask questions. And don't expect to get paid for any of it.

Murry leaders deny the charge in a crass statement of doublespeak:

This is from Huffington Post

The claims of forecd attendence have been mostly denied by Rob Moore, Chief Financial Officer of Murray Energy Company, which owns the mine. He acknowledges that workers weren’t paid that day but says no one was made to attend the event. Well, kind of.

"Our managers communicated to our workforce that the attendance at the Romney event was mandatory, but no one was forced to attend," he told local news radio WWVA, which has received several emails from workers claiming that the company records names of workers that don't attend those types of events.

The company's interest in having its employees show support for Romney may be a result of its CEO's close ties with the presumptive Republican nominee. In May, Romney teamed up with Murray's CEO Bob Murray for a fundraising event in West Virginia. And Murray's made no secret of his support for the Republican party, previously backing Rick Perry.

In addition, his company has donated more than $900,000 to Republican candidates in the last two years, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Murray, who is also a climate-change denier, has been an outspoken critic of President Obama’s stance on coal. That view may be why Moore told WWVA that having employees attend the Romney event “was in the best interest of anyone that's related to the coal industry in this area or the entire country."

According to the above statement, no one was forced to attend but it was mandatory. Some one get this ass a Thesaurus because those two words mean the exact same thing. Murray is the same guy whose lax safety standards caused the deaths of six miners in 2007 and was fined almost two million dollars because of it. Fifty years ago, this guy would have gone to jail for negligence but now just pays a small fine and continues to put people's lives at risk. In China, he would have been executed. Too bad we don't have similar punishment for this fucknut.

The GOP is trying to end America as we know it and some of you out there are hitting the accelerator by voting for these fools. Not that that the democrats are any better but at least they aren't the climate change deniers Murray and his cohorts are. Vote Obama 2012 unless the US as a smouldering husk is what you want. If he does win, then we need to start demanding real change. And if he won't, the we as a people have to stand up and make him. Both sides are driving us off a cliff with the Republicans doing 150 MPH and drunk. The end is coming. Let's not make it worse.

BANKING INSIDERS WARN OF UPCOMING COLLAPSE. MEANWHILE ICELAND'S FINANCIAL CRISIS AVERTED DUE TO LOGICAL STEPS THE REST OF THE PLANET IS AVOIDING

While Europe and US is coming dangerously close to the end of their rope, word is escaping that Iceland is chugging along after letting their banks fail and arresting everyone involved. That is the solution we should have accomplished but our President and Congress are either too beholden on Wall Street money to do anything or are not brave enough to implement them, or most likely, a combination of the two. One of Obama's biggest weaknesses is his over-willingness to compromise which allows the right to keep pulling him further and further toward their position. One never enters into any negotiation with the pre-planned idea of compromise, because if you do, the other side will drag their feet in order to get the most out of what they want, and this is exactly what the GOP has done to Obama. I would guess the President is a terrible poker player as he shows WAY to much of his hand upfront.

The news here and abroad lately is very bad. The same kind of outlook that started in 2008, around the exact same time I might add, is one that says LOOK OUT BELOW. Anyone investing in any bank stock should sell it RIGHT NOW. The bigwigs are getting out fast, with people like George Soros and John Paulson, divesting ALL of their bank stock for gold. Stock in Morgan Stanley is at record lows and pennies away away from its low 2008 price. Word is client funds are at risk and many insiders are talking behind closed doors of an imminent collapse. With the billionaires of the world escaping Morgan Stanley, BoA, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs, this type of rumor should be taken very seriously.

Worse, it's not just them removing stock from the market. Last week $3.6 billion was pulled from the stock market and sent trading to an all time low as the chart below shows.

Most of the stock being traded at this point are HFT (High Frequency Trades) algorithms which is artificially raising or lowering the price as the hedge managers see fit. Over the past two years, more and more money has been leaving the stock market, to a tune of $300 billion dollars. In the past 32 weeks alone, only $3.6 billion in purchases have been made, compared to the $125 billion lost. So with that in mind, we can see the only reason the stock market is going up is because of HFT interference, and that can only work for so long before a total collapse occurs. We see no signs of a reverse of this and, in actuality, an acceleration of dumping stock that may soon be worthless, i.e. Morgan Stanley. Anyone with Enron, Bear Sterns or Lehman Brothers stock knows how worthless they can get.

All the while we have bankers stealing record numbers of money from us through HFT manipulation and off shore accounts that may be as high as $1.3 quadrillion dollars in illegal gains, the economy is nearing a total collapse. The Middle Class is being reduced to a smouldering heap and the GOP is running that train to derailment. Our standing of living continues to drop, with the salaries of everyone dropping faster than Chris Christie toward a Krispy Kreme. Nevermind the fact that we make less money now than we did in 1970, prices on everything are getting higher and higher and no one seems to care. Giving all out money to rich people so they can shower on us low paying jobs, with even the Minimum wage in GOP crosshairs because that $7.25 an hour they have to pay us is way to generous, is a sure fire way to end America as we know it, and the Tea Party and Republican faithful are leading the charge. Dumb asses.

Let's see some stats shall we:

Median household income for the self-employed has fallen 9.4 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for private sector employees has fallen 4.5 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for government workers has fallen 3.5 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the West has fallen 8.5 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the Northeast has fallen 4.9 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the South has also fallen 4.9 percent since June 2009.

-Median household income for Americans living in the Midwest has fallen 1.1 percent since June 2009.

-A smaller percentage of Americans have jobs today compared to June 2009.

-Median household income has declined by 4.8 percent since June 2009.

-American families are far less wealthy than they were just a few years ago.

Remember, the recession supposedly ended in June 2009.

Since that time we have supposedly been in a “recovery." Some recovery.

All this as the elites have seen their salaries explode upward and the taxes lowered to record levels. Yet they still want more and are willing to bankrupt all of us to get it.

We keep hearing that this the only course to take. Yet, I look at Iceland, who had a very similar economic collapse in 2008 and find their recovery is booming. Unlike the US and Europe, Iceland let their banks fail and grabbed the money from the industry and those that scammed it instead of the taxpayers. Since then, Iceland made cuts that reduced the deficit from 14% to 2%, decreased unemployment to less than 5%, and expect growth of at least 2.8% by the end of the year. All of that without austerity measures, without disabling pensions and SS, without crushing the middle class.

And that plan? That sound you hear is crickets chirpping because no one is seriously even entertaining the idea. What we have here is a plan that works, will fix a lot of our problems and neither Democrats, Republicans or anyone in Europe is listening.

We have fixed NOTHING since 2008 and the old adage of "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it," is now front and center. A massive Depression looms and the worst part is, it could all be avoided. Voting for any Republican is a sure fire to end everything so by all means pull that ballot for Romney if you want the world to end. That is not exaggeration. The GOP platform will gut this country to the bone while letting the rich have even more they don't need. We need to go after these banks, arrest anyone connected with them and give money to people who need it, not the fucking Koch brothers and their Westworld playground.

Vote Obama 2012 and for a complete democratic congress. Then demand they start doing what we want or else their butt will be on the unemployment line next.

MORE PROOF TRILLIONAIRES EXIST AS THE REST OF US ARE DRIVEN INTO POVERTY

As one of the only people on the planet writing about this, I have uncovered further evidence of a massive shift in wealth from the unwashed masses to a privileged few. For some time now, I have written about the distinct notion that the richest people on earth are purposely hiding how much they really have, so as the rest of us don't start sharpening our pitchforks and gathering our torches. This idea has started to trickles into the MSM now, proving that once again, my blog is way ahead of the curve and you, the regular reader, is kept much more informed than your troglodyte neighbors.

This is from Reuters:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/22/super-rich-offshore-havens_n_1692608.html?1342969179&icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl1%7Csec3_lnk3%26pLid%3D182553

Rich individuals and their families have as much as $32 trillion of hidden financial assets in offshore tax havens, representing up to $280 billion in lost income tax revenues, according to research published on Sunday.

The study estimating the extent of global private financial wealth held in offshore accounts - excluding non-financial assets such as real estate, gold, yachts and racehorses - puts the sum at between $21
and $32 trillion.

The research was carried out for pressure group Tax Justice Network, which campaigns against tax havens, by James Henry, former chief economist at consultants McKinsey & Co.

He used data from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, United Nations and central banks.

The report also highlights the impact on the balance sheets of 139 developing countries of money held in tax havens by private elites, putting wealth beyond the reach of local tax authorities.

The research estimates that since the 1970s, the richest citizens of these 139 countries had amassed $7.3 to $9.3 trillion of "unrecorded offshore wealth" by 2010.

Private wealth held offshore represents "a huge black hole in the world economy."

So even the MSM now acknowledges that untold wealth is being hidden in offshore accounts. This money contains funds that would have gone into taxes, salaries and other areas that are not for the sole individual hiding them. Can anyone out there honestly say that of that roughly $30 trillion, most of that is not being held by a small group of people, instead of being shared with the world, especially at a time where it is most needed? This is a grotesque violation of basic human rights and anyone found to be hoarding such a sum should be drawn and quartered at first glance.

Here's worse news: the above article may be woefully underestimating the amount, a notion I completely agree with. The derivative market has a liability estimated to be worth somewhere between $600 trillion and $1.3 quadrillion dollars. All that money has to be somewhere and I believe it to be in people's pockets, forcing the rest of us toward a Massive Depression.

OpEd News writes this:
http://www.opednews.com/articles/4/Trillions-Stashed-in-Tax-H-by-Stephen-Lendman-120825-86.html

Over 3.5 million paper companies, thousands of shell banks and insurers, more than half the world's registered commercial ships above 100 tons, and tens of thousands of shell subsidiaries of giant global banks, accounting firms, and various other companies operate there.

Nonetheless, conventional havens are misleading. Despite their vast financial infrastructure, most super-rich elites want more security. They also need easy access to First World capital markets, competent attorneys and accountants, independent judiciaries, and laws protecting them.

Professional "enablers" provide all needed services. Managing vast wealth is complex. Many skills are required. They include financial, economic, legal, accounting, and insurance. Super-rich elites demand and get the best.

Haven locations offer more than tax avoidance. Almost anything goes on. It includes fraud, bribery, illegal gambling, money laundering, human and sex trafficking, arms dealing, toxic waste dumping, conflict diamonds and endangered species trafficking, bootlegged software, and endless other lawless practices.

It's impossible to estimate total lawful and illegal wealth from all sources. It's vastly more than estimates within the parameters of TJN's study. Credit Suisse tried.

Through mid-2011, it puts total financial and non-financial global wealth at $231 trillion. It's a best guess. It's tenfold TJN's top figure. It's mind-boggling. It's roughly 3.5 times global GDP. In 2011, it was about $65 trillion.

Imagine the good a small percent of global wealth could do for billions of disadvantaged people. Imagine its ability to stabilize and recapitalize troubled countries. Imagine a world where everyone shares its wealth. Imagine one worth living in.

Global wealth represents low-hanging fruit out of reach. Instead of everyone benefiting, few do at the expense of all others. Injustice that great begs for transformational change. From the bottom up is the only way possible. Shedding light on what's dark is a good way to start

The above article states that best guess, the amount hidden is $231 trillion or tenfold what the TJN study said and jump from the year before of $166 trillion. So while the rest of us starve and keep being told that the "recovery" is right around the corner, the elites are gorging at the trough. We better wake up and realize that we are being led right toward a slave state. And the GOP is leading the charge with their economic policies all but guaranteeing the lot us living in piss poor conditions right around the corner.

Mitt Romney is awfully adamant about not releasing his tax returns from previous years and the real reason is that if the "little people" found how much he REALLY paid in taxes over the last decade, he wouldn't be within spitting distance of Obama in the polls. He exactly the kind of guy who almost certainly has billions stashed in off shore accounts and paying for none of it in taxes, effectively robbing America of funds it is rightfully owed. I can show Romney is guilty of at least two felonies, voter fraud and accepting illegal political contributions, so what would one more be in this flip floppy fraud world he lives in? I still hear idiots clamoring for Obama's records on just about everything down to his kindergarten nap time schedule, but Romney's tax returns are off limits? WTF?

All signs point to a major disaster on our horizon. The rich are taking money out of ALL banks and investing heavily in gold as are the banks themselves. Bank of America issued a warning the other day to investors that the market is over leveraged and could tank at any time, especially after September 13 should Bernake not begin quantitative easing (QE3). If QE3 does not happen, and many are certain it isn't, a huge stock slide could begin as all this false optimism within the corporate circles collapse.

Here is what BoA had to say:

Economist Michael Hanson points out an interesting circular relationship between the stock market and Fed policy. There are some who believe the Fed will not launch QE3 so long as stock prices remain high, yet the stock market is high because it anticipates QE3. Should the Fed disappoint at the September 12-13 FOMC meeting, the risk of a stock sell-off is high. S&P 500 support on a correction is in the 1360-1325 area. Additional support is at 1300-1250. Attention will be on the Jackson Hole symposium next week to get a feel for the Fed’s tone.

Macro catalysts increase the risk of a correction
Our strategists see an unusually high number of macro catalysts over the next 3-6 months that could take markets lower. We expect economic growth to disappoint in the second half of the year in anticipation of the fiscal cliff. This would exacerbate any slowdown from the deepening recession in Europe and decelerating growth in emerging markets. There is also the ongoing tension in the Middle East, the potential for a US credit downgrade and accelerating downward analyst estimate revisions. To top it off, September is seasonally the weakest month of the year for stock price returns

I have been writing for some time that the government is preparing for a massive depression and the rioting that will follow as people are going to starve to death in record numbers while the rich sit behind their gated walls eating steak and laughing at our misfortune. Should this stock slide happen, Obama may take the blame for it and lose come November, putting Romney and the GOP in control and we all know how well that worked last time. But if war with Iran happens first, which it might, then all bets are off as to what may occur in our both our elections and the world. Dark times are coming people. Be prepared and do not fall for the GOP bullshit. Those guys are out to kill us all, literally. Voting for them is a death sentence. Don't be a pawn. Be a leader.
