DOUCHEBAG OF THE WEEK: NORTH KOREA

Proving my point that irrational people with nuclear arms is a really bad idea, Kim Jung Un threw a king sized temper tantrum this week and double dog dared the US and South Korea to do anything about it. Ugh! Let's see those runner ups of which they are way too many.

1)People who watch mass media with the sole purpose of bitching about it-  In previous months we have had Muslims complaining about images of Muhammad being aired, the poorly named One Million Moms (short approximately one million moms) complaining about just about everything on TV and now this week, another religious, ie fascist, group, claimed victory over the terrible things we are seeing over the airwaves.

The AFA (American Family Association) claimed victory over SNL and that they had managed to get Sears and JC Penny to dump their ads from this "heinous" show, especially after the very funny fake movie ad "Quentin Tarantino's Djesus Uncrossed." Problems is, apparently for all their hoopla, it wasn't true. Both companies issued statements that their ads would still be aired (and did last night by the way) and only would not appear on the Hulu on line version during that sketch only. The AFA seems to miss the fact that SNL is one of the highest rated show on all of television on the moment and near double the next program on NBC right now. Only a fool would pull their ads from that kind of saturation and neither was indeed that stupid. The AFA on the other hand?

2)Holocaust Deniers- This is one of the stupidest conspiracies out there. And new research into German records, which are meticulous by the way as these guys wrote down everything, shows that there were far more people being held prisoner, perhaps as high as 20 million. That is not to say these were all Jews, but undesirables, POW's, and political prisoners as well. The evidence shows more camps, brothels and slave labor areas then previously thought, some small, containing ten people, others much larger containing thousands. There is no cover up. Millions of Jews died. So did millions of others. Move on to something more sophisticated to waste your time with like looking for the Loch Ness Monster or invisible planes during 9/11. This shit happened. Deal with it.

3)Michael Reagan- Proving that the acorn didn't fall far from the tree, this right wing columnist wrote a column so stupid, I almost blacked out while reading it as my eyes tried to protect my brain from was written there. Maybe he missed every single article about this, but the cuts were spread out over several months and the real pain wouldn't be felt right away. He makes it sound as if the world would stop on a dime the second the sequester went into effect, which nobody said was going to happen.

What a putz. This guy is using false logic to prove a point that nobody expected to occur. It's like finding out you have cancer and expecting to drop dead the next day. That pain will be spread out for some time, just like the sequester. It is exactly for crap like this that we have so many stupid people in the country who read this tripe and believe it.

4)Stupid Criminals- Somedays Karma is your friend. It certainly was for Lakewood, CO waitress, Brianna Priddy. While working at her job at Applebee's, a customer came in and showed her ID to get a drink. Turns out, the license was Priddy's, who stalled the table while the cops arrived. Seems Priddy's purse was stolen the previous week, from where I don't know, but if it was from Applebee's, it would seem dangerously stupid to attempt to use a stolen ID there. The unnamed woman also faces bad check and drug charges. Sometimes, God is really quick with his vengeance.

5)TSA-Back again after a short absence, a former TSA agent told the New York Post that the entire operation is a sham that does less than nothing to protect people. Considering that an undercover agent got through Newark security TWICE with a fake bomb, makes this story all the more interesting. Here is a link:

Apparently, most of the retards do not even have a high school diploma which makes a lot of sense. If you want a goon squad, hire real goons. From a separate article, we find that, as I reported here in an earlier column, they are NOT doing security checks on new hires, which is allowing many a criminal to get a job in airport security. If we are trying to make things safer, shouldn't we start with the people we hire first? Due to utter mismanagement, we are wasting billions of dollars each and every year on things that do nothing other than waste money. Where are all the Tea Party morons with this bloated government program? Funny how Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid are the problem and not this shit.

6)Paul Ryan- Speaking of entitlement programs, Ryan released his budget proposals and, for the third straight year, is the exact same thing we have seen already. Draconian cuts to social programs and huge tax breaks for the rich, including yet another try to privatize Medicare. Maybe he slept through the last election, which would be ironic as he was running for VP, but we already decided that that garbage belonged in the can with the rest of the bad ideas they peddled on us. WE DO NOT WANT PRIVATIZED SOCIAL PROGRAMS! Christ, get it through your thick skull already.

7)Republicans- Other than Rand Paul and a handful of others, including bandwagon jumper Mitch McConnell, Republicans took the bullet train to Crazyville with way too many saying or doing something utterly, mindbendingly stupid. Let's start with Ed Orcutt (R-WA) who said this from the National Memo:

Orcutt recently responded to a constituent who opposed a proposed bike tax by claiming that bicycling is not environmentally friendly. His reasoning? “You would be giving off more CO2 if you are riding a bike than driving in a car.”

“Since CO2 is deemed to be a greenhouse gas and a pollutant, bicyclists are actually polluting when they ride,” Orcutt added in an email to the constituent.

As The Raw Story points out, “Virtually all available science on the carbon footprint of driving versus biking says [Orcutt] is dead wrong.” Indeed, the European Cyclists Federation estimates that CO2 emissions from biking are about 10 times less than driving a car, even after accounting for all emissions required to make the bike and the food eaten by the rider.

If you think a person can emit as much carbon as a car, you need to repeat high school.

Ted Gassman (R-IO) boarded the Nutbag Train this week with his proposal, along with seven other retards, that wanted to eliminate no fault divorces as they lead to the possibility of the daughter's becoming sexual promiscuous. WTF? What study is that from? I am being told that there is no such study and this is just delusional ranting from someone who should be hospitalized and not voting on important matters. Even worse, he used his sixteen year old granddaughter as an example. Yikes, that's going to be an awkward Thanksgiving. "Thanks for calling me a whore, Grandpa!" That bill is already dead in the water.

Glenn Beck returns with this gem: That President Obama wants to get rid of all of our guns so he can reintroduce slavery. Yeah the black president wants to enslave people. The ones that would have the most to worry about that would be anyone watching your program. If that's the case, I am all for it.

Pamela Gellar is furious that she wasn't invited to the CPAC dinner that has such brainpowers as Sarah Palin and Rick Perry coming as guest speakers. Who hoo, where do I sign up? Nevermind the fact that Gellar is an avowed racist against Muslims and has actually claimed that the reason she is not invited this year is that CPAC is instituting Sharia Law. Really? The most Conservative group in the country is actually a Muslim front. Wow! You cannot make this stuff up.

And then yet another conservative watchdog group, the hilariously named Accuracy in Media, claims that the Vatican will bow to George Soros and Obama's demands and elect a socialistic, black Pope. Once elected, capitalism will die and socialism will be the new norm. Sounds good to me. Where do I sign up?

8)Climate deniers- This week it snowed two more feet of snow here making it the sixth snowiest winter ever here. Because of this, climate skeptics have jumped all over that fact and declared global warming a hoax. Unfortunately, it is exactly what scientists have predicted would happen as more moisture is in the air, leading to more snow during cold weather. We are breaking more and more heat records every year and less and less cold ones. The most disturbing news came out this week that there is more carbon in the air than has ever been detected before. The result is that keeping the warming to under two degrees by 2100 is not possible. This means there will be severe weather patterns and almost certainly the extinction of millions of species, possible ours as well. Things by 2100 are going to be terrible due to coal plants being fired in developing nations and a lack of understanding world wide about the problems we face here. Deny these facts at your own risk.

9)North Korea- Kim Jung Un has proven to be an unstable leader, threatening for the umpteenth time about ripping up the truce treaty and has supposedly cut the hotline from North to South Korea. They have also threatened the US with a pre-emptive nuke strike which would be the equivalent of throwing a glass of water on a large, mentally imbalanced escaped convict and not expecting to get pummeled into a soft, sludgy substance. These are the kinds of things that even the smallest miscalculations can lead to deadly consequences. The South has shrugged most of this off as the North has cried wolf so many times the threat has no impact any more. People went about their business with the attitude of treating the North like a dottie old aunt you have locked up in your attic. Their attitude was so bad that even China and Russia signed on to new sanctions with barely a peep. Publicly, China is still siding with the North, but, behind closed doors, their attitude has been much more severe, say sources with in the country. They don't want  a nuclear war on their doorstep, especially if it can be avoided. North Korea is falling apart. Let's hope they don't take the world with them. If you want a reason why I don't want Iran to get nukes, here is a prime example. So congratulation North Korea and Kim Jung Un, you are indeed douchebag of the week.

WHEN REPUBLICANS START BECOMING THE VOICE OF REASON YOU KNOW THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO END!

Yesterday, white became black, up became down and reason replaced insanity. Rand Paul, I guy who can veer wildly from excellent point to Crazytown, must have taken his meds because he stood up to the President on an issue we all should care about and actually used the Filibuster the way it was supposed to be used in the first place.

The filibuster was created as a way of informing the public of bills that are coming forward that the minority in Congress disagreed with. If enough people sided with the filibuster, through calls, letters and, now, e-mails, the bill could be stalled or even eliminated. Now it is used in ways to kill bills before the even get that far by the mere threat of using one. I applaud Rand Paul for not only standing up to an out of control government policy but for using the rules of Congress as there meant to apply. WHAT HAS HAPPENED?

Now, I would like to point out that the White House and the Justice Department have used the old "nuclear ticking time bomb" rule, or the Jack Bauer concept, in their defense of killing American citizens. If you knew that a WMD was about to be used and a drone was the only way to stop it on US soil, that is perfectly acceptable in anyone's book. But it was the way that the slimy Eric Holder, I man I really loathe, responded that got everyone's panties in a bunch. Why hasn't this douche sailed off into the sunset along with a majority of Obama's cabinet?

Holder hummed and hawed and said this:

"It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States. For example, the President could conceivably have no choice but to authorize the military to use such force if necessary to protect the homeland in the circumstances of a catastrophic attack like the ones suffered on December 7, 1941, and September 11, 2001."

While I agree with everything he said, how he said it seems to leave a little wiggle room for malfeasance, a fact that Rand Paul did pick up on. After the filibuster ended, Holder released this statement.

"It has come to my attention that you have now asked an additional question: 'Does the President have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil?' The answer to that question is no."

Maybe he should have said that in the first place. Holder is a terrible speaker with a near constant case of foot in mouth syndrome. In politics, you have to be either crystal clear or wildly vague. Holder walks the line between the two that gets everyone mad. His responses to the Fast and Furious debacle were laughable at best, treasonous at worst. Ever since Bobby Kennedy, we have a near perfect string of lousy AGs, perhaps worried that if they push to hard on anything their will suffer a similar fate. It's that same fear that has given this country the longest line of crap Presidents since its inception. When Bill Clinton is the absolute best candidate we have had in the past forty years, you know things have gone south.

It took thirteen hours to get the response Paul and the rest of us wanted. Way to be on the ball.

As the stock market continues its near certain rise to the breaking point, most economic news not being spun by the government or media is getting worse. This is a rare story from the MSM, USA Today of all publications, exposing the lie:

The Federal Reserve's purchases have driven interest rates to near zero. This has stimulated the economy but not without cost. Savers, particularly older ones trying to live on income from their investments, are starved for safe options. They've been forced into stocks, which is one reason the market has been acting as if it's on steroids. Further, with borrowing costs low, Congress and the White House have less incentive to rein in the national debt. Rock-bottom interest rates have also distorted markets.

The best indication that the Fed's bond-buying purchases are pushing stocks up artificially is that investors run for cover whenever there is a hint that the Fed might change course, as happened recently. On Monday, billionaire superinvestor Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett told CNBC that markets are on a "hair trigger" waiting for signs of change from the Fed. The market is "hooked on the drug" of easy money, Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher told Reuters.

Fisher's comparison of Fed policies to a drug is apt. Markets might not like the idea of the drug being withdrawn now, when the Fed holds a portfolio of $3 trillion. But the withdrawal symptoms will be a lot worse once the portfolio grows to $4 trillion, or more.

There is also the possibility of a derivative bubble burst that would liquidate the world economy. As the liability factors would be over the quadrillion range, every major bank would go bankrupt should the derivative market crash. This would also take everyone's wealth with them creating a complete state of anarchy as goods and services grind to a halt. Here's the banks liability once again:

If those banks ho belly up, the world economy nose dives with them. We have created these Frankenstein companies due to deregulation and corporatist ideals that benefit the elites only while the rest of us starve. You know, the Tea Party mantra.  It will be radically different this time when things go bad from 2008. Take a look at the below chart:

The only thing that has been fixed is the stock market, and I mean that in every way you can use the word "fixed." Things are getting worse as prices rise and salaries fall. Yes, more people are finding work, but the jobs pay a pittance of what they used to make. I know over a dozen people who have lost their job in the past few years. Not one has landed a job that paid anywhere near what they used to. So unemployment may be falling in some areas, but a lot of these people are making even less than unemployment paid them, further destabilizing everything. As these people make less money that pay less in taxes and contribute less to the economy. It's why JC Penny, Sears, Kmart and WalMart are all struggling right now. No one has any money to shop for anything that is not a necessity.

Here's some other data for you:

The percentage of the civilian labor force in the United States that is actually employed has been steadily declining every single year since 2006.

-In 2007, the unemployment rate for the 20 to 29 age bracket was about 6.5 percent. Today, the unemployment rate for that same age group is about 13 percent.

-According to one study, 60 percent of the jobs lost during the last recession were mid-wage jobs, but 58 percent of the jobs created since then have been low wage jobs.

-Median household income in America has fallen for four consecutive years. Overall, it has declined by more than $4000 during that time span.

-At this point, an astounding 53 percent of all American workers make less than $30,000 a year.

If half the country makes less than $30,000, and declining, there is no hope for us at all. Eventually, the house of cards will all come down, and the poorest of us will be the most affected.

The Tea Party bitches and moans that the federal workers make a livable wage and, rather than demanding we get paid the same, they go the opposite track. We can see they have the money but as we have no leverage at all over the overseers, we are left with crumbs. This is a disastrous policy that will destroy this country worse than Communism, radical Islam and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo combined.

We know there is at least $32 trillion, with possibly as much as $300 trillion stored in off shore accounts. This money is being stolen from us by greedy individuals and corporations and if we don't stand up and demand that the rich stop it immediately, then I hope you like eating dirt because, pretty soon, that's all you'll be able to afford.

HUGO CHAVEZ: DEMON OR HERO?

Long time President Hugo Chavez died yesterday after a long bout with cancer. He joins a very suspicious group of Latin American leaders that all seem to be getting cancer at the very same time that most of them are trying to separate themselves from the draconian capitalistic policies of the United States and Europe. Here's a list:

Lula - Former President of Brazil - Cancer of the larynx

Dilma - Current president - reversing cancer in the lymphatic system

Cristina Kirchner - Argentina's current president - Thyroid Cancer

Nestor Kirchner - Former president of Argentina - died of colon cancer.

Hugo Chavez - Venezuela's President - Prostate Cancer

Evo Morales - Cancer in the nasal cavities

Fernando Lugo - the Paraguayan President - lymph cancer

Ollanta Humala - President of Peru - Cancer in the gut

Why are so many leaders in these countries suddenly coming down with cancer, especially at a time when cancer rates should be falling? Many are speculating that members within the intelligence community have developed a way to give cancer to people. This is not as idiotic as it sounds.

First off, cancer should have been cured years ago. Why? Because, unlike diseases like AIDS, the flu or the common cold, cancer is not a mutagen type illness. Our main problem has been finding a way to kill the cancer cells in a way that doesn't kill the host. The sad part is, there appears to have been many, many types of cures developed over the years that have been stifled by Big Pharma that want no part in cures any more. Think about it. What was the last disease that was actually cured? You'd have to go back to the fifties to find anything like that, when diseases like polio and smallpox were virtually wiped out due to vaccines that actually work.

In fact the cyanide and benzaldehyde together are 100 times more toxic than either one by itself. Ask yourself this question: why would Big Pharma want something natural ( AND cheap ) that cures cancer, to be known by the general public, when they can charge thousands of dollars for their “voodoo witch-doctor” ( my term ) cures like chemo and radiation treatments that actually kill more healthy cells than cancerous ones

Why does Big Pharma not want cures? Because it is more profitable to keep someone taking some sort of drug for the rest of their life rather than cure them outright. Many credible studies have shown that high doses of Vitamin C and even hemp oil have better chances of curing cancer than chemo which devastates the body. But those cures are cheap and the pharmaceuticals won't make a dime off it.

But Big Pharma is not interested in your health, They are only interested in profit and one of the main reasons that these industries should be nationalized. Trust me, contrary to popular belief, government runs things better than the private sector in almost every avenue. Yes it may be bloated and covered in red tape, but stuff actually gets accomplished. I dare anyone to name an organization that was better run due to deregulation or private enterprise than the government. Good luck because I've looked and have yet to find one example.

There is ample evidence too that cancer may not be so much a genetic possibility but one caused by a virus that attacks a certain genome strain. If that's the case, it is completely reasonable that the government may have invented a cancer weapon and factions within it may be using it to destabilize the Latin America economy, which is being run on a anti-corporatist agenda and working better than ours I might add.

With the death of Hugo Chavez, a door has been opened for the giant multi-nationals to take over Venezuela again and lead the country back into poverty. Chavez was a socialist who did great things for a majority of his people. He has even helped the poor in this country as Citgo is the only oil company to provide low cost heating oil for people in need. Many have condemned this as blatant ploy to get re-elected, a notion I wish some here would follow. I want someone to take on the elites and multi-nationals and bring some stability back to our government. Chavez was not the demon some in the press as making him out to sound, especially the more right wing ones.

I have read that some ex-pats are cheering his death here, which makes me wonder if some of them may not have been some of the elites who fled rather than face his wrath. It strikes me as odd, that for all the good he did his country, that some would bitch and moan about it unless they were the ones who stood to lose everything in his socialistic agenda, ie rich or stupid people. Nice to know that even Venezuela has Tea Party-like morons who understand nothing about how things work.

Of course some, like Pravda, are blaming the CIA for Chavez's death. Joe Biden blamed leftist extremists. I think Pravda may be right for once considering the rag they have become over the years as the death of Chavez presents many new opportunities now for the world elite.

Chavez may not have been perfect but he did great things for his people. And for all of you out there who saw him cuddle up to Iran and Cuba, I for one, don't blame him. He had said in the past that George W. Bush tried to have him killed which made him very unhappy with the US and would even make me side with others who hated us as well.

We have made the word "socialism" a dirty word with connotations to fascism and communism which it isn't. Hitler co-opted the term to get votes and, once in office, had all of those same people arrested. Communism is scaliest taken way too far where private property is abolished and the elites become just as powerful as corporatism. Socialism is the way to provide equity to all and has worked wonderfully in Europe. Their failure isn't due to socialism, as some place blame, but runaway capitalistic policies that have bankrupted the nations. Socialism is alive and well here (Medicare, Social Security) and one of the reasons the GOP is so determined to kill those programs to enact their fascist state that have been craving for decades.

Chavez did a lot of good things for his people, ran fair elections (better than here) and raised millions of his people out of extreme poverty. What politician in this country over the last thirty years can say that?

WAR DRUMS SOUND AGAIN SIGNALING SPRING IS FAST APPROACHING

You could almost set your watch to the fact that every year we hear about the possibility of a new war with someone along with the coming spring. It has happened so often that the media coined the term "Arab Spring," as if it was some twisted college ritual where, instead of getting drunk and having random sex with strangers, you strap a bomb belt to yourself and blow up a market place. Call me crazy, but I'd rather do the former myself.

This year, we have a new entry with North Korea, hot off their "basketball" summit with deranged diplomat Dennis "the Worm" Rodman, who has lived up to his name and then some. In a bizarre rant, North Korea has threatened to end the truce with their southern counterpart and the US and declare war because of new sanctions beings leveled against them for their nuclear test program and war games scheduled with South Korea in the coming weeks. WAAAAAAA!

China has apparently had enough of the rouge state and has signed off on new sanction with the UN, a move that may devastate the impoverished country. If China cuts off aid, North Korea will fall. China was pissed when they went through with the nuke test against China's wishes who may be realizing that those same nukes could just as easily be aimed at them as well as the West. Russia has also said they will support sanctions that prevent missile and nuclear technology. China may be a lot of things but stupid ain't one of them. Should North Korea actually go through with their threats, which is most likely a bunch of hot air, they will be wiped from the face of the earth with no one else to help them, except maybe Iran.

Speaking of which, both Obama and Netenyahu issued statements this week that say the red line for their nuclear weapon program is coming dangerously close. Top generals are warning of a nuclear arms race should Iran become a nuclear state, for which Turkey and Saudi Arabia have already begun plans for. If North Korea has destabilized the Pacific Rim, what do you think will happen if this area goes the same direction? It's not like this is the most stable area to begin with. A nuclear war will almost certainly happen.

And for all you out there who keep repeating the same lie that Iran has never attacked anyone in their history, I have one word for you: Bullocks. Iran has been using proxy armies for some time, like Hamas and Hezbollah, so they keep their hands clean and let other terrorist organizations do the dirty work. They have been responsible for attacks on civilians and assassination attempts against heads of state and diplomats for decades. This is not a peaceful group of people running the show. What makes me really sad is I know a few Iranian people and really like them. They tell me, much like here, the government is not well liked and if war happens, a majority of the people will not be so supportive no mater what their media tells us. Sound familiar? And Iranian food is fantastic. Try it.

John Kerry, returning from a less than successful trip to Cairo, is warning the Iranian not to cross that line in the sand or face major repercussions. Israel will not allow Iran to go nuclear and if they have to kill every man, woman and child over there to stop it, they will, consequences be damned. As I said above, they and the administration is worried about an arms race and terrorist groups getting hold of WMDs. So am I.

Henry Kissinger, on a recent BBC interview, said the time of war is fast approaching as Iran shows no signs of stopping. He also states that a nuclear Iran would lead to a nuclear war with a near 100% possibility. I agree. We don't give guns to children for a reason and Iran and North Korea act like spoiled brats half the time. North Korea has been a disaster once nukes entered the picture. Imagine what a nuclear Iran would do to the region.

We are facing crisises of unimaginable proportions right now. Our economy is about to nose dive, a massive war is in the cards and no one seems to care. We should.

WEALTH INEQUALITY IN THIS COUNTRY IS OUT OF CONTROL

 

If you listen to the Republicans party, there is no huge wealth gap and the middle class is filled with pathetic whiners who are just jealous of their "betters" The truth of the matter is is that class warfare is alive and well and we are losing badly. If people knew how much money is being transferred to the top 1%, they'd storm Congress and lynch the bunch of them along with every CEO beside them. Watch this video and try not to throw your computer when you are done.


That is a lot of money being given to the rich who are not, I repeat NOT, using it to create jobs no matter how many times the GOP says it. And guess what? The Republicans want to give them even more. Who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea? Rich people, stupid people and gullible people, of which the latter two we have way too many of. Here's some more statistics for you:

In 2010, the top hedge fund managers earned as much in one hour as the average family earns in 47 years.

The top 25 hedge fund managers in 2010 as much as 658,000 first year teachers.

In 1970, the top 100 CEOs made $40 for every $1 their workers made. In 2006 it was $1,723 for every $1 made.

Meanwhile, we keep hearing that problem is Social Security, Medicare and Medicade and not outrageous salaries, corporate tax avoidance and falling wages which are far more damaging. If people made more money in the middle class, they would pay more in taxes which would create more revenue. Contrary to what the Tea Party wants you to believe, we have a revenue problem not a spending problem. Although to be fair, we do spend way to much on things like defense which needs to be severely curtailed even if millions of people lose their jobs. To offset those loses, we could find other things for them to do like fixing our aging infrastructure which now resembles some third world nations. Compared to Europe, which is even poorer than us, they have outspent us on infrastructure 100 to one.

FDR through Lyndon Johnson, including Republicans like Eisenhower, changed all this by enacting things like the Glass-Steagal Act, raising rates on the richest Americans to a whopping 90% and the formation of the SEC. As a result, we saw tremendous growth. But with the election of Ronald Reagan, all that changed and not for the better. With the culmination of the worst President of all time, George W., things have fallen off the map. The "free market" economy has been an abject disaster yet no one is willing to admit it, Democrat or Republican and until we do, things will never change.

Reagan slashed taxes for the rich, began the long slide of union bashing and eliminated many Wall Street regulations for the boom that never happened. As a matter of fact, things went so badly, that Reagan was forced to raise taxes to make up the short fall that happened soon after, a fact lost on the neo-conservatives of today.

For one brief moment, the OWS movement shined a bright light on that inequality. But as the press was more interested in first ignoring then demonizing the group, their message got lost. It didn't help that OWS had no organizational skills and as the movement stalled with no demands being leveled against anyone, after the police crack down, the whole event fizzled. But it hasn't changed the fact that we are in serious trouble and the elites are stealing from us at every juncture.

We need to raise the minimum wage, where if adjusted for inflation, if we got paid what you made in 1968, the wage today would be at least $16 an hour. I don't remember businesses going under in mass numbers in 1968 do you? The reason why is it didn't happen. Here are some facts about raising the minimum wage from newsforage.com:

In other words, if we raise the wage, the economy will improve dramatically, help reduce poverty and obesity rates and make this country a better place.

We have to start standing up to this by not just accepting things as they are and start fighting for what is ours. Do not take a job making a crap salary no matter how much you need money. If they can't fill these positions, they will be forced to pay more. Do not accept internships that work you to death. Every time you do, you are decreasing the positioning power of everyone. Yes, it sounds good on paper but we are helping fund this nonsense and it has to stop. If you have no choice but to get one of these awful jobs, do everything you can to throw a wrench into the works and looks for another job with every free moment. Do not accept your place as a slave. Become Spartacus. I have never worked at a shitty job one second longer than I had to, and the entire time I did work for one of these slave drivers, I worked as little as possible and went job hunting at every possible moment. And guess what? I found better work. And so can you, no matter what your education level is.

Most importantly, stop putting people in office whose sole job is fuck you in the ass for every moment of every day. Stop supporting anyone in the Tea Party, almost all of the Republicans and most of the Democrats. If we don't start standing up for ourselves, this country will die and that looks to be coming down the pike in the neat future. If the government shuts down at the end of the month, and all indications are that might happen, the world economy goes with it. And we will have no one to blame but ourselves.

DOUCHEBAG OF THE WEEK: REPUBLICANS

When did the GOP become a terrorist organization? They certainly qualify as one as they have done more damage to this country than Al Qaeda, North Korea and Iran combined. Let's see those runner ups.

1)Oklahoma- If there was one state I would not want to live, Oklahoma would be in the top five. They have some of the most draconian drug laws where possession of a joint can get you five years, homosexuals are treated like second class citizens, and the education system is one of the worst in the free world. This week, the brainpowers that make up the education board passed a law allowing the teaching of creationism in class and the idea that evolution is not true. Holy cow, when did we become the laughing stock of the planet? Europe is howling about this as no one over there believes this crap, not even the ultra religious in mass numbers like here. Evolution is a fact and I can prove it, like the age of the earth or gravity. These are not debatable notions and the idea that we are still debating it shows how far we have fallen on the intelligence scale.

2)One Million Moms- This hate group should be wiped from the earth as they are one step away from acting like the Nazis they are. Anyone belonging to this group should just kill themselves already and be done with it because they crap they are pedaling is beyond laughable at this point. I have seen golden retrievers with more common sense than this bunch. This week they came down on Geico ads because they said the pig and girl out on a date promotes bestiality. Yeah the first thing I wanted to do after seeing that was go rape some poor pig and blame the ad for it. Don't we have more important things to worry about? By the way, the group is short a million moms by about 999,000 so apparently they can't count either.

3)Bob Woodward- This guy passed into Crazytown this week, with even fellow conservatives telling him to shut the fuck up. Woodward claimed the White House threatened him this week after he blamed Obama for the sequestration nonsense going on in Washington. This shot across the airwaves, especially in right wing circles. Unfortunately, when the facts came to light, it turns out, it was all a lie blown way out of proportion. The e-mail that Woodward claimed was threatening was actually a polite rebuttal of his position and not some sort of political death threat he made it out to be. When this happened, fellow journalists turned on him something fierce for making them all look really bad. This man has destroyed any reputation he had left which wasn't all that good to begin with. His last few books have been blow job reports to the right wing, including several smoke screens for the W. administration while he has done hatchet jobs to the left. Journalism means impartiality. If anyone screws up here, democrats or Republican, I hold them to it. This ass is the very definition of yellow journalism and should be bounced on his ear. Anyone still buying his books should follow the same advice I gave to members of the One Million Moms.

4)Fed-Ex- This week, seven pounds of pot found it's way to a woman's house in Plymouth. MA. She called the police who in turn told Fed-Ex not to release any information about the package to anyone inquiring about it. Instead, the dealers showed up at the woman's house looking for it after Fed-Ex told them where to go. Guess who's is getting sued now? How is this possible? This is going to cost them big time.

5)McDonalds- Proving my point that the people in positions of power, like the government and Fed-Ex, are some of the dumbest idiots on the planet comes this gem from the number one fast food joint on Earth. Turns out that in order to "compete" with Burger King and Wendy's, they were eliminating the chicken selects, a walnut salad and were debating getting rid of the Angus burgers. In other words, all the things that people like at McDonalds. Sales for the chicken selects and Angus burgers have been strong draws to such a point that the other chains have implemented them too. So items people like have been eliminated for reasons that make no sense? Who is running these places?

6)Patrick Leahy-Speaking of democrats doing stupid things, this week the Senator from Vermont tacked on a provision to a bill that would legalize prostitution for minors. That is not a typo. This was done to prevent people who were underage from going to prison for crimes they might not fully understand but opens the door for pimps everywhere to go after underage girls as they would be unprosecutable. The bill also goes on slash funding for groups whose job it is is to go after people trafficking in underage girls. This is a disastrous bill and one I hope does not pass.

7)Supreme Court- Proving their worthlessness once again, these group of losers have handed down some idiotic decisions this week. First they voted 9-0 that drug searches by dogs without suspicion or a warrant is perfectly acceptable. Nevermind the fact that dogs have a 56-72% failure rate in these circumstances, they are being used to harass people who have no drugs anywhere by overzealous cops. With private prisons expanding, this kind of nonsense could lead to many being incarcerated for planted drugs in order to fulfill prison quotas that counties need for money. This is a dangerous precedent and one that both sides agree is fine. Then came the conservative side rallying against the Civil Right Voting Act, that has proven to work . And to top it all off, they had a 5-4 vote, upholding warrantless wiretapping by the government. I hope they all get impeached.

8)Dennis Rodman- The Worm went to North Korea this week, helping legitimize a rouge state. I only wish they had kept him.

9)Republicans- When this country falls apart soon, we will have no one to blame but the GOP and, especially, the Tea Party. The sequestration is a monster of their own making as common sense things like getting corporations and the ultra-rich to pay something, anything in taxes or raising the minimum wage has been demonized as something that will end life on the planet which it won't. How do I know? Because places where that has been done has worked tremendously while Europe has been doing exactly what the Republicans want and we can see how well that has gone over. It has turned countries like Greece and Italy ungovernable and on the verge of collapse. But no, we can't tax people who pay nothing because that would be unAmerican and would rather tax the poor out of existence. They almost didn't pass the Violence Against Women act, but public outcry changed that. With the coming possibility of a government shut down, my military sources tell me they are being warned that they may not get paid after this month, their benefits will be severely curtailed and many may be laid off. Millions stand to lose their job because of GOP nonsense and, if this happens, the world economy will go down with it. The stock market will crash, unemployment will skyrocket and, if it goes on long enough, basic services like firefighting, 911, the police may grind to a halt. Anarchy will rule at that point and this is what the Tea Party seems to want. So congratulations Republicans you are indeed douchebag of the week.

BLAME GAME BEGINS AS NEW AUSTERITY MEASURES HIT AMERICAN SHORES

As I predicted some six months ago, the train wreck called sequestration had finally derailed and with it, the American economy. Hold on tight folks because things could get scary fast. We are facing multiple crisises, almost all of which were our own undoing. We have failed and miserably at that because we decided to do nothing to fix the problem, while Idiot America bought into the Kool Aid the Tea Party was selling. We have no one to blame but ourselves for the Depression that may be fast approaching.

That so called "recovery," of which I heard yet again twice on the news last night, is not coming. I heard yesterday that housing sales were up, the stock market is reaching record highs, unemployment was dropping and consumer confidence was going up. None of that is true.

According to the government, consumer spending rose a whopping .1% last month and everyone started celebrating. This strikes me as odd as almost every major company reported horrific sales over the last two quarters. My guess would be the elites are buying things just fine, like houses which they are flipping or renting causing this illusionary housing boom. Car sales are indeed up, but if you look at the figures, it's the high end cars selling while the middle class has all but stopped their purchases of new vehicles. So rich people are doing great. The rest of us are starving.

Wal-Mart is having trouble stocking shelves because the products are not moving. Perishable items are rotting and the stores are lacking the capital to replace them as they are a total loss. Lately, according to insiders, it is taking weeks, months, even years to pass off some items. If this continues, and every indication is that it will, some stores may look like they are going out of business. The sales for the last two months have been just awful. This trend is expected to continue.

The IMF is warning the US that of these cuts go through as planned, growth will fall by at least half a percentage point and we may face similar problems as Europe. I find this funny because the Republicans are constantly bitching about the health care system throughout Europe, which works better then here by the way, yet wish to implement the same austerity measures that never work.

If we look at places like Ecuador, Venezuela or even Iceland, we see that if we DO NOT use austerity but instead tax the rich and corporations to a fair standard, arrest the people involved with defrauding the country, seize ALL of their assets and give people a much needed raise, the economy will rebound just fine. One of the reasons we demonize Hugo Chavez isn't because he's a dictator (he isn't as their elections were less fraud filled than ours have been), but because he nationalized the oil and banking industry and shut the US out of billions of dollars that they would have stolen from the country instead. There is also the rumor that the US tried to assassinate him at one point, which wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Latin America may have the smartest people on the Earth as they are the only group of people to demand respect from their politicians and get it. Ecuador went through a Depression so severe that one in ten left the country. Since then, the country has rebounded tremendously by a "Citizen's Revolution" that made the politicians cut poverty by a third and extreme poverty by 45%. Unemployment has been reduced, while social programs like health care, Social Security and education, which now provides free college, have been expanded. Outsourcing is illegal.

All that was achieved with a country with limited resources by making the elites and corporations pay their taxes, regulating banks and oil companies severely and doing other things that the "free market" does not allow. Incidentally "free market" is just a re-imagined word for fascism as it allows control by the corporations over all aspects of life. As we can see here, by getting rid of such bull, society can flourish.

 

But the Tea Party and the GOP are demanding things like tax cuts for the rich and severe austerity measures that have all but bankrupted Europe. But countries that have rallied against these idiotic measures have flourished. So which should we go with, the plan that fails 100% of the time or the one the actually works?

Because of this nonsense, many are saying the stock market is likely to crater soon, and I also think that that is exactly what is going to happen. Walter Zimmerman, of United-ICAP and an expert on global energy markets, issued a stern warning yesterday about up upcoming stock crash he says is inevitable. Here is what he had to say:

 

“Every reliable technical tool is warning of major peaking action. This includes sentiment, momentum, classical chart patterns, and Elliott wave analysis."

 

“Most of the rally in the stock market since 2009 can be chalked up to the Federal Reserve’s attempt to create a ‘wealth effect’ through higher stock market prices. This only exacerbates the downside risk. Why? The stock market no is longer a lead indicator for the economy. It is instead reflecting Fed manipulation. Pushing the stock market higher while the real economy languishes has resulted in another bubble.

“The next leg down will not be a partial correction of the advance since the 2009 lows. It will be another major financial crisis. The worst is yet to come.”

So here we have a guy whose job it is is to predict market fluctuations noticing what many of us already knew: the stock market is rigged. It is being manipulated to create a false positive in the economy and misdirect everyone from the problems at hand. It's like a really bad magic act where you can see the pigeons in the magician's sleeve. Only here we are the pigeons being stuffed into places we don't belong.

Another noted economist Chris Martenson, who holds a PhD in neurotoxicology from Duke and a MBA from Cornell, is saying much the same doom and gloom scenario echoed by Nouriel Rubini and Zimmerman. Here are his own words:

 

"I don’t relish the job of constantly pointing out the risks to the equity markets. But since few on Wall Street seem willing (or able) to do this, I’m “making the call” for a market correction, as enough variables have aligned to indicate a high likelihood of stocks heading downwards from here.
I’ve only given one other such warning about equities before, and that was in March of 2008, when I warned of the possibility of a 40% to 60% decline in stock prices by Fall. I am making a similar call today, with the understanding that I am usually a bit early to the game with my views.

Before I get into the details, the broad outline is that I see a case where speculative fevers, propelled by the Fed’s $85 billion thin-air money printing program, have more or less run their course, with the Dow and S&P indexes stalled near their all-time highs. That is, $85 billion a month is what it takes to merely keep the Dow near 14,000 and the S&P 500 near 1,500.

Technically stocks are overbought. Fundamentally, the picture is even worse: they are facing a litany of economic drags (including weakening GDP growth, higher taxes, the impact of Obamacare, sequester cuts, high gasoline prices, chronic unemployment, etc.) and robust insider selling.
  
For all of these reasons, equity markets face a very high chance of falling over 40% between now and fall of 2013. (Yes, I’m aware of how extreme a price prediction this is.)"

We know that billionaires are dumping stock at a fifty to one ratio. What does that tell you about the future of the market? When those that know start selling, maybe you should follow. If you sell soon and buy low when the market craters, you could make a fortune which is exactly what the elites will do.

With sequestration and a looming government shut down at the end of the month, things could not look worse. Make sure your idiot friends who still think the Republicans are worth electing know this as well.
