But one of the main reasons we have this polarizing class of douchebags is because the right has moved into fascist territory and the left has evolved into the new middle-right. Few speak for true ideals that help the middle class, and both sides have been raping us blue now for the past thirty years. The end result of all this dishonesty in government has now metastasized into a cancer that is literally eating us alive.
A recent poll shows how screwed we are. Two thirds of us are distrusting of everyone, up from 50% in 1972. The reasons why we distrust everyone is that everyone is lying to us on a near regular basis. The media and government lie to us so often they teach a master class in it. We don't trust the Church, or any religion, as there is always some mass death they are responsible for or some child molestation around the next corner. Our doctors are prescribing dangerous drugs for us because of payouts from Bug Pharma, not to mention the countless, needless tests, some are engaged in. We don't trust lawyers, but no one ever has, so that is nothing new. There are countless scams by phone or Internet that snag you no matter how careful you are. In today's day and age, everyone IS out to get you and paranoia is not in your mind.
This is very bad news as once faith in all institutions fails, so does society. And we are nearing that end game sooner than later. When things like this happen, democracies fall and are almost always replaced by a totalitarian one. Just ask people in Germany right before the rise of Hitler. Their country was in ruins because of economic disaster, and rose up by blaming the Jews for all their hardship and we all know how that turned out. This time, it will be the Muslims being blamed, or the blacks, or some minority group that will get the masses all rilled up and then those FEMA camps we keep being told don't exist will get filled up. A quick word about those camps. They exist. Denying that fact is like saying Global Warming is a hoax. Much the same as climate change, we can question the purpose or reason why said camps exist, not if they exist at all. If they don't exist I want to know why we gave at least $300 million to KBR to build them. Just asking.
Now government has given us ample reason to trust NOTHING they say or do. Obama has lied more than I can possibly believe as his campaign promises have littered his wake. The GOP is a lie machine where nothing they say is accurate. And this is having lasting problems. This weekend I heard about some "bombshell" by Darryl "liar, liar, pants on fire" Issa, which I knew was a lie because he said it. Anyone voting for this lunatic is dumber than a three year old. He accused Obama of turning down an offer to build the Healthcare website for free, which is unlikely, and instead spent "a billion dollars," with CGI Federal. First off, it was $300 million, so his estimate is off by $700 million. Second, not one news channel, including Drudge Report and Fox News had nothing on this. Why? It wasn't true. Yet, Issa wasted more taxpayer dollars during a hearing about healthcare mentioning this gem, which equals his Benghazi crap which never panned out either. What a dick.
The Republicans still can't get their act together and while they hold pointless hearing after hearing, milk prices are set to soar, food stamp are still on the chopping block, and unemployment is about to end because Rand Paul feels it's making people lazy. No one I know on unemployment would not rather be working and making more money than collecting their paltry fee. That is some out of touch thinking that the unemployed are all lazy do nothings that are sponging off the system, rather than take some crap job that pays even less what they collect. No one would ever do that. Congress isn't.
Obama gets the prize this week, if this next story is to be believed. And that is a major problem as I have no way of verifying the story I am about to tell you. Our media sucks, Obama is a liar and this could all be a GOP plot to discredit him. However, knowing what I know about trade pacts, some of what has been leaked is true.
The 12 nation Trans-Pacific Pact is a free trade deal that will destroy this country much like NAFTA did when Clinton sold us that gem. That much is certain. If the Huffington Post is correct, then this is what is in it, a position the White House denies as accurate. Who's lying? I don't know, but I trust our President about far as I can throw him and with my back problems that wouldn't be more than a few feet.
Seems this new pact will give corporations near dictatorial powers over sovereign states, including ours. Under the new pact, corporations would be able to challenge laws or regulations in a privately run international court. Nothing scary there (roll eyes and sigh). Under NAFTA, large companies have tried to undermine Canadian law against things like fracking, drug patents, and oil drilling. This new pact would be even worse, allowing companies to run roughshod over any country whose policies these multi-nationals don't like, even over the will of the people. That fascism, plain and simple.
This next part is true. Drug companies want to eliminate drug pricing boards abroad, as they don't allow the corporations to charge whatever they want, like they do here with dreadful results. Imagine the pain and suffering that would occur if drug companies price half the globe away from life saving medicine. Thankfully, the leaked memo says that proposal is dead in the water, but the fact it was even considered is frightening. They still want to long term patents on medication, so generic drugs don't take away their profitability, but would establish monopolies on some drugs making some of them unaffordable to many. Obama has been fighting against drug boards for some time, so it wasn't his decision to axe it, but every other country on Earth. It also tells you where Obama's loyalty lies and it is not with the Middle Class.
Not surprisingly, the world wants to put strict controls on the banking system, something Obama is pushing back against. Stunner. As the rest of the planet has come to the realization that unfettered banking is bad, they are less than pleased that the US is still full steam ahead on the notion. We are a nation of retards apparently.
The next time some idiot calls Obama a Marxist, Socialist, Muslim, remind them that he is none of those things as he bought and paid for by the corporate community, a fact he has chiseled in stone. We don't trust him anymore. We certainly don't trust the Republicans who somehow are far worse than Obama. Their plan is to give all the money to rich people and let the rest of us fend for ourselves. Our only hope is to vote in 2014 and get rid of any idiot in office, regardless of party. Let us find some suitable third party candidates that can run things effectively. Let's stop voting for the GOP in general because they are too stupid to exist any more. Overall, we need more people engaged in voting and stop this slide into fascism. If we don't stop it soon, we will all be looking inside a true Fascist state and wondering just how in the hell we got there.
