RUSH LIMBAUGH ADVERTISERS BEAT FEET AS WARMONGER REPORT GROWS

A quick plug for my own site that we now have ads running down the side of it. Please click on them as they are how the site is getting supported and I make a living doing just this and a few other writing jobs. Help keep the truth alive.

In other news, WABC which is the station Rush Limbaugh airs out of in syndication, had several moments of dead air the other day and contained no, I repeat no, major advertisers, other than Netflix, which was less than happy about the mix up as they have pulled their ads and sent a strongly worded message to their advertising campaign to stop immediately. Just what Netflix needs is more bad news. Idiots. With the mail service set to slow to a crawl because, God forbid they lay off any needless postal workers and are instead shuttering processing facilities instead, Netflix may be on borrowed time. One of the sure signs of the decline of a civilization is when instead of services getting better, they fall apart. Sound familiar?

Almost all of Rush's former advertisers have pulled their ads with only PSA's seemingly running at this point, with some like the American Heart Association asking WABC to stop running them. Worse, several times the station ran dead air as they ran out of ads to run. How much longer can a station employ a guy this toxic with no money? Sleazy ads like Ashley Madison and SeekingArrangements.com have reportedly wanted to run ads but so far they have yet to materialize and I still doubt will play well with regular Rush listeners who have a tendency to be white, older and super conservative. Ads playing of infidelity and sugar daddies won't play well to the Evangelicals either.

So why is Rush not fired yet? Because the GOP loves him still and wants his brand of moronic brashness on the air for the next election. No one on the planet would not have been fired yet and proves that the GOP has more power than can be understood. Rush needs to go away and only by contacting places like Premiere Networks or Clear Channel and telling them you won't be listening to any of their shows or supporting any of their advertisers can this blowhard be brought down.

In other news, the unemployment rate shows no change from last month, which is odd because using the governments own set of rules and statistics, the number should have risen to over nine percent according to several polls from people like Gallop, which in the past has mirrored the rate closely. Not now as Obama attempts to tell people, Kevin Bacon style, that all is well. Problem is if he keep this crap up he might wind up in similar straights being flattened by a national mob, ala Animal House. But as the Republicans have gotten way off message to a new culture war that most Americans don't want fought, the GOP is in real trouble.

There is a history of people who overreach and get flattened as a result. Joe McCarthy ran into that after he accused Edward R. Murrow of being a commie and lost everything when government and public opinion killed his career. He went from top of the heap to loser in a nanosecond. The Salem Witch trials went the same way when the "possessed" girls accused a powerful judge's wife of witchcraft. The trials ended there and then. The GOP believes that the entire country is filled with right wing, religious extremists. Turns out, that in poll and after poll, we find out that we are much more moderate than that. The GOP may suffer the same fate as McCarthy if they continue this rant much longer which is going to cost them a lot of votes comes November.
