Regular readers know I am to the right of the NRA when it comes to gun control. The Founding Fathers put the 2nd amendment for one reason and one reason only: to protect us from a tyrannical government forcing themselves upon the people. Looks like we lost that one due to gun regulations that have let the Federal government become everything our ancestors feared. There should be no restrictions on any kind of gun control for any type of weapon period. Likewise, anyone using said gun in the act of a crime should face draconian level punishment as a result. If we were listening to people like Thomas Jefferson we wouldn't have a police force so out of control.

On a quick side note, I would like to give a special thank you to Sheriff Stan Lenic, an Albany police officer who is a credit to his profession for, not only doing his job correctly, but standing up to other authority figures who were clearly not doing theirs. A video has gone viral showing Lenic refusing to follow the illegal orders by Albany Airport's PR director Doug Myers in having two activists arrested for handing out flyers warning people about the danger of body scanners.

"Obviously this is your constitutional right, OK? As far as you're concerned, you're not breaking any laws. That's what we want to get across to you guys," Lenic told the two. When Myers demanded they identify themselves, while winking at Lenic, he responded, "If I was to ask for his identification he does not have to give it to me because he’s not doing anything wrong."
The station, airport and his Facebook page have been inundated with positive feedback, stunning the area. His is now being considered receiving a special commendation and is even being urged to run for Mayor. The world could use a lot more people like Stan Lenic seen below.
The odd part is I have had dealings in the past with Albany police officers and, the ones I met, were some of the worst police officers I have ever encountered. Their idiocy caused a riot outside a Grateful Dead concert and almost got a lot of people killed when hundreds of us were moments away from being crushed to death in a mob after the cops unwisely shut the doors to the arena, while people still pushed forward. As we were on a walkway several stories above the ground, it could have gotten ugly.
The whole thing started with cops acting like dicks outside the venue. After the concert all hell broke loose as some lone cop attempted to arrest a drug dealer, he yelled NARC! and people came from everywhere and beat the snot of the cop. Neo-hippies are not all peace and love and that day showed it. The police responded with riot gear and it looked like Tahir square for a little while. We got the hell out quick and watched the chaos on the news that night.
But I digress. Back to guns, in the above example, if the cops knew everyone had a gun, would they be arresting people for minor infractions or small amounts of drugs being sold? Hell no. This is exactly why I support the idea we need more guns, not less. Studies show that an armed society is a polite one. Crime skyrockets in places were guns are harder to get as Scotland and Australia crime rates demonstrate. After they passed severe new gun restrictions, violent crime rose as much as 600%. On the other hand, violent crimes are next to non existent in places like Israel and Switzerland where everyone owns an AK-47.
We have a whacked out police force, hiring more and more ex-soldiers which is a terrible idea. Unless the soldier was working as an MP or is part of the SWAT team, they have no business being beat cops. They are TERRIBLE at it, for the most part. I am sure some don't suck hard but ones I have met or have talked with those I know and trust in law enforcement say the same thing. These are two different mind sets. Soldiers kill. Police protect. The two are not mutually the same and recent stats show it.
What we keep hearing from the gun lobby crown is that we are getting more and more random shootings from people whose sanity is not in question: They don't have any. In the last two months have been two attempts to copycat the Aurora, CO shootings in movie theaters. The most recent was an attempt to shoot up a theater packed with tweens watching the latest Twilight movie. Some of you are asking shouldn't we ban guns to protect ourselves from nutbags like this? NO! What we need to do is protect ourselves from these nutbags, not guns. Even is we ban guns, one of these idiots will just make a bomb and kill even more people. Insanity cannot be regulated but it can be controlled.
First, we need a national date base listing EVERY SINGLE PERSON diagnosed with any serious metal illness, particularly schizophrenics and borderline personalities. Second, every single one of these people has to see a mental health professional once a month where they will be drug tested, not for illegal drugs, but for the medication they will be MANDATED to take. Failure to take said meds will result in immediate incarceration until they are deemed safe to go back into society.
We have gutted all safety nets when it comes to mental health and we need to find a way to start paying for it again. Means testing could help pay for it where if you have enough money you pay accordingly and under a certain income level, it's free. Taking medication that keeps you from killing people is a small hit on your personal freedoms when it's the rest of us paying for it. Had something like this been in place, almost all of the random shooting nutbags over the past decade would have been off the street and not able to get a gun in the first place, as that database would also prevent guns from getting into the wrong hands. We need to start getting people off the street that are dangerous, lifting gun bans on people who will use them correctly and protecting ourselves against a government that still shows no signs of backing off from personal freedoms.
A quick word about Obama: there is no sign anywhere on the horizon that he is angling to take all of our guns away as the words CIVIL WAR spring to mind at that point. Sure, we will lose as the government has far better equipment that most but if we make those losses painful they will certainly consider alternative angles. They will never get rid of guns anyway, but merely drive it underground and make the black market even more money and power. It would be a terrible idea and not likely to happen any time soon as the democrats have ALL the power right now. The GOP insanely doesn't see it that way and are building up to a self destruct sequence that may be inevitable. They are STILL not willing to negotiate on higher taxes for rich people even though a majority of people want them to. When this country goes over the cliff come January, it will be the Republicans going over first. Keep it up guys. You are officially going to be extinct soon. Congrats.

My accuracy rate when it comes to politics is around 90% so I am none too surprised that the GOP infighting has already begun. Even better they are surrounded by perilous actions that are causing some in the party to look like rabid dogs while the others shake their heads in shame. It's all coming apart and they have weeks, WEEKS, left to solve anything.

Fox News is STILL on Benghazi to such an extent that it is like listening to a broken record from an album you really hate. John McCain and others are digging in their heels to eliminate Susan Rice from any position the White House wants her for, a method that is not wildly popular even among other Republicans or the public. As if all that wasn't enough, a lot of top Republicans and moving away from their no tax pledge causing Grover Norquest a "panties in a bunch" moment. Others are still making their pledge an unbreakable one, but as polls show a vast majority of the country want our politicians to be more compromising in Congress, this scorched earth policy will kill them in the next elections.

Talk about becoming a laughing stock. Fox News is such a parody of it itself now is is really hard to watch anymore. Turn on the channel, any time day or night and count how many seconds until Benghazi is brought up. Trust me, it'll happen a lot quicker than you think. Could make a fun drinking game. Every time Benghazi is mentioned, take a drink. You'll be hammered in minutes though.

And Fox's partisanship is no longer even being hidden. On a recent news segment, Thomas Ricks was being interviewed by newscaster Jon Scott. Ricks was a defense reporter and had won the Pulitzer for his work. Ricks said this about McCain: “Benghazi generally was hyped by this network especially. And now that the campaign is over, I think he’s backing off a little bit. They’re not going to stop Susan Rice from being secretary of state.”

Scott went on to complain that that was unfair and that Benghazi was more than just "hype." Ricks replied: “I think that the emphasis on Benghazi has been extremely political, partly because Fox was operating as a wing of the Republican Party.” And that was that, interview over.

Ricks told Politico’s Dylan Byers: “I had told the producer before I went on that I thought the Benghazi story had been hyped. So it should have been no surprise when I said it and the anchor pushed back that I defended my view.”

Way to engage in a meaningful debate Fox. You got blitzed and the only way you could respond was hanging up on him. It's like Fox News is some fundamentalist religious nut bag who will NOT hear anything that disagrees with his world view. "LALALALA, Benghazi is all Obama's fault, LALALALA, I am not listening, LALALA," is all they hear.

Ricks also makes another good point. If Obama wants Susan Rice to be Secretary State, McCain can jump up an down until his face turns blue because, most likely, they have the necessary votes to get her confirmed. Traditional allies like Joe Lieberman has said he sees nothing wrong with her nomination. Here's what he had to say:

"As I look at what we now know the intelligence community was saying that week -- and I look at Ambassador Rice's statements on television on the following Sunday morning, I don't find anything inconsistent between those two.
But, I must tell you that I think we are focusing on questions that are not insignificant but they are not the most significant. Of course, there was a terrorist attack. Whether or not there was a protest before it is interesting, but not that critical to me. There was a terrorist attack and the question is: who did it?"

Even worse for people like McCain, Lindsey Graham, and newcomer Kelly Ayotte tying her cart to a dying horse, is the fact that they are the only people making a real case for this. 97 other Representatives sent in letters to Obama voicing their opposition which is essentially meaningless as the House does not decide nominations. Word behind closed doors is that this is a fight a lot of Republicans don't want to fight.and that her nomination is all but assured if Obama wants it.

The GOP is beat up black and blue but you wouldn't know listening to people like Sean Hannity or Reince Priebus, a name so awful you have to imagine he got the crap beat out of him every day in school for having the gaul to possess it. They say everything is fine in their party and the democrats are only one election away from defeat. Unfortunately, here on planet Earth, the opposite is true.

A recent poll done by CNN said that a huge majority want compromise and, an even bigger majority, will blame the GOP if nothing happens and we sail over that fiscal cliff. It is exactly these numbers are are scaring the smarter House Republicans into saying they are open to tax hikes on the rich. Party leaders like Eric Cantor, Saxby Chambliss and, most surprisingly, Lindesy Graham have all singled they are open to discussions as long as entitlements are also on the table, a wise move from a party that seems to have few and far between moments. Mind you, any talks with the GOP is fraught with danger as many of them can't tie their own shoes without help.

If the GOP fails to do anything, most of the American people are going to blame them and Grover Norquest. I can imagine if the economy falls apart at the seams as they bitch about how much more money rich people can steal from us, Grover and his like are going to get run of Dodge on a rail. Watching him spit nails lately as he throws venom on those who dare to oppose him is a fun show in and of itself. It the signs of a drowning man, splashing helplessly as his ideas die around him. Your time has come and gone Grover. Deal.

Last night on Jesse Ventura's excellent show "Conspiracy Theory," the ex governor went to Mountain View, AK to expose a possible underground city being built. Before I get into that though, let me set the record straight about Jesse. I have heard a lot of people who dismiss him because of his past as a wrestler and actor, conveniently leaving out the fact that he also was governor of Minnesota and has written some excellent books on politics, including his latest "Rebloodlicans and Democrips." He is neither a wide eyed believer nor dismissive disbeliever, but a true skeptic. His past two shows explored time travel and reptoids from dimension X, neither of which Ventura found credible and rightfully so. But when he went to the Ozarks this week, he found some very interesting things.

First, there are more banks per person in Mountain Home, AK than anywhere in the country. With a population of only around 12,500, there are at least 37 banks which averages one bank per 388 people. According to the town historian, twenty years ago the town had one bank. Now they have dozens. How does a bank survive on such a small population sample when by all measures they shouldn't have enough capital to operate? I have written about people worth much more then they are telling us, the secret trilionaires of the world and where they would stash their money. This is an excellent example of just that. If you have more money than any nation on earth, you would be the equivalent of a God with almost as much power. The banks could be filled with accounts for people who do not exist, a system of false data to mask the fact that one individuals or small group of people control all the money and the rest of us are just slaves for their amusement.

Why would such a small town have so many banks? And more banks are being built everyday according to my research, so where is all the capital coming from to keep these places open? The answer may lie in nearby underground bunkers that definitely exist. How do we know? Because Ventura drove through one of them and filmed the whole thing. Vast underground structures, dozens according to accounts, litter the area and they are indeed immense in size. You could hide anything down there and no one would be the wiser. Rumor is the power elite have an underground railway built across the country to transport whatever they need as well as use of nearby railway lines. Also odd was a fleet of electric cars and buses being stored across the street from one of these undergrounds lairs. If you wanted transport after an Apocalypse, it wouldn't be hard to move those quickly inside before you weld the door shut.

I know all this sounds nuts but there is some evidence to suggest that the power elite have taken steps to protect themselves in case of war. If you had all the money in the world, wouldn't you build huge underground structures to protect yourself and your family? Of course you would. The reason why this may be going on though may be even darker.

As someone with deep military ties, I can tell you that anything you can possibly think of has already been duplicated in some way by the US military. Every major invention over the past fifty years was a military project first. GPS, the Internet, microwave ovens, lasers, cell phones and countless other inventions all started with government projects. The public sector lags about twenty years behind the government in technology and has been that way for some time. So imagine what twenty years from now may bring and chances are the military has already developed it.

In the public sector, mice lifespan has been increased 24% by using gene therapy. They also have reversed the aging process in mice by a complicated method using telemerase, an aging hormone found in mice. People stop producing it when they reach adulthood, so the problem with this idea is introducing this chemical back into people without causing cancer or tumors, as it is likely to do. If it works though, it will not only stop the aging process, it will reverse it. You could literally by thirty again even if you were at one point near a hundred. If the public sector is this close, you can bet the government is WAY ahead of them. If an anti-aging process is discovered, that would be very bad for the rest of us. Why? Because that makes the lot of us very expendable.

Think about it. The power elite only need maybe 500 million people world wide to control. The rest of us would be fishing bait. There is no way that a process like that would be let out to the general public as it make this planet uninhabitable after a few years. With no deaths other than by accident or murder, the population would skyrocket out of control. Starvation, pollution and other factors would kill a lot of us anyway. But if the powerful wanted to, why not just start a world war, retreat into their bunkers for twenty years and the rest of us are shit out of luck. What if that is the main reason why all our money is disappearing into a black void; to built these vast underground bunkers, start a war, and live out eternity while the rest of us burn? Yuck.

The chances are VERY good that the government has already figured out to reverse the aging process. This means the clock is also ticking for them because eventually, the public sector will figure it out too and then all hell will break loose. If it ever does, birth control will have to be strictly regulated to a draconian level or else the population will spin out of control. And ever then, it may be near impossible to do. The alternative is what the elite may have planned for us in a horrific death sometime over the next decade. Let us hope it does not come to that.

According to people like Rachel Maddow and others in the MSM, anyone who thinks that FEMA camps are real should be in a straight jacket. I would agree with then if there wasn't overwhelming evidence that such camps exist. First, both KBR, who was contracted to build them, and the government do not deny their existence. Here is a letter from KBR from an individual asking about the program.:

From: Bob Siefert>
Subject: RE: Level with Public about
FEMA camps
To: “Richard w. Firth” < >
Friday, December 16, 2011, 2:44 PM Dear Mr. Firth,
Thank you for asking about the truth concerning our search for subcontractors. First, KBR is not a subsidiary of Halliburton, and hasn’t been since April of 2007. KBR intends to respond to an upcoming Request for Proposal. FEMA is looking for companies that can set up temporary camps to house First Responders to natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, etc. The services included in the KBR request for information are ones we cannot provide ourselves and will need companies who can react quickly enough to meet the FEMA goal of having a place for their responders to stay within 72 hours of a call up. The camps will be temporary in nature, and nothing is being “activated”. FEMA is trying to be proactive in preparing for timely responses if emergency responses are required. I hope this answers your question.
Bob Siefert

In a previous post, which my internal numbers say is my most popular column to date, I linked to a leaked memo from KBR discussing the true nature of these camps and to government data that showed similar notions. In each instance, the fences were designed to keep people in not out, which kind of negates their statement that these camps are for disaster victims. Wouldn't you want to keep people out, not in, in a disaster scenario?

I also published a list of suspected FEMA camps in the previous post as well. And while I can neither confirm of deny any of what is on that list, our own government has independently confirmed at least some of their existence as seen in the above email as well as from government personnel who also claim that the camps are built for disaster victims. So if these camps do not exist, deniers of the world, explain this case of victims of Hurricane Sandy?

In NJ, at a shelter at Tom's River High, people put out by the storm were asked to leave and re-locate to one of these so called non-existent FEMA camps. They thought they were going to a hotel or maybe even another school. They were boarded on buses and drove nearly four hours to a tent city erected at a local racetrack. The tents had no heat, a cot, a rubbery pillow and a single blanket. Armed guards were everywhere and you had to show ID to even go to the bathroom. There were no magazines, radio, books or TV. Here's what one person said about the experience:

“They treat us like we’re prisoners,” says Ashley Sabol, 21, of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. “It’s bad to say, but we honestly feel like we’re in a concentration camp.“

People froze for days in subhuman conditions where the food was gruelish, and people were made to feel like prisoners. Where were all the rations, blankets and other necessities FEMA used our tax dollars to buy for just such an emergency? And more importantly, if these camps are being built with our tax dollars, which both the government and KBR do not deny, why are they not being used for this emergency which is why they were supposedly built in the first place?

Mind you while FEMA did loads better than Katrina and the Red Cross was kind of asleep at the wheel for this one, neither did great and begs the questions of what happens if a huge disaster hits the country as we still seem woefully unprepared for things that require housing refugees? If we spent all this money on food, blankets and "shelter," why are we housing people in racetracks and, in one odd case in NY, an attempt to move people to a closed prison? That last one didn't seem to happen as people were understandably not keen on moving into a ruin that once housed prisoners.

If the government is not using these camps to house refugees, what are they using them for? If they don't exist, why did we give KBR a lot of money to build them? I have read through the people who say they have debunked this including Glenn Beck and Popular Mechanics, neither of which is terribly credible in their own right. Beck is a loon and Popular Mechanics got bought out right after 9/11 by some less than stellar individuals who have used the publications to "debunk" 9/11 theories with less than realistic results. But people read what they think is news and then spread that idiocy everywhere. The anti-union morons that troll the Internet are a good example of believing what you want to believe without looking into the whole story.

Understand that first and foremost, I am a skeptic. That should not be confused with a denier which is what most people who call themselves skeptic really are. A skeptic is one who is wary about what he is being told but holds reservations off until all the facts are in. A denier is someone who has made up his mind before the facts are in and will bend the truth to fit his world view. That type of reasoning is no better than the religious fundamentalists that refuses to believe things that science says are real.

We know that we are being pulled further and further into a police state. This past weekend saw a record number of people drive, take the bus or take the train. Know what form of travel saw a significant decrease? Airlines. The MSM says that it is because of the economy but, as someone who used to travel a lot, I know train travel is just as expensive as planes and they saw a marketable increase in passengers. People are NOT flying because they hate the TSA and refuse to get groped to get on a plane. A recent study said that the TSA as gotten over 17,000 complaints this year alone. That is a lot of angry people, most of which are never flying again. Plus, because of this asinine policy, it is literally killing people as driving is far more dangerous than flying. On the MA Pike for the past few holidays, we have seen 45 mile back ups that is only recent in nature and almost certainly caused by people no longer willing to fly. This past weekend saw bumper to bumper traffic from Tuesday through Sunday with no days in between any better than the previous one. If we don't start doing something about the shitty TSA, a lot of people are going to wind up dead in a ditch and traffic jams are going to look epic in length and time.

How will you feel if these agents start invading our malls, our subways, our streets? Polls show a third of you out there will have no problem getting ass raped to get where you are going. That is a lot of sheep. We need to start standing up and saying in one loud voice that this is unacceptable. Thankfully enough people bitched about going to a prison for a stay as a terrible idea and the notion seemed to have been nixed. But how long before that idea comes back again? And if these FEMA camps do exist, for the reasons they say, why are they not being used? If they don't, where did all that money go to build them? Either way, there is a story here even if the MSM thinks we are nutters for asking. Here is a link again to a NYT story about the $385 million KBR got to build these camps:

Still think I'm nuts?

Black Friday came and went and nobody seemed to care that, in order to get those cut rate prices, Big Box stores are engaging in slave labor practices. For shame. Let's see those runner ups.

1)Lindsey Stone- Not realizing that by posting idiotic crap on your Facebook page can get you fired, this brain power decided to test that axiom and lost big time. Stone, while at Arlington Cemetery, posted this picture seen above in a horrific attempt at Hipster Irony. I hate Hipster Irony. First off, it's never funny. Pictures like this may have been funny fifty years ago when they first cropped up but now it's just sad and dated. Second, what part of respect did you not get Lindsey? These soldiers died for us and you think it's funny to flip the bird in a misguided attempt at humor. Not surprisingly, she and the person who took the picture were fired. Free speech means you have the right to say what you want but, at the same time, you also have to deal with the consequences of your actions. If I wrote a blog were I did nothing but slur minorities, my employers may have second thoughts about my job. Grow up, Lindsey and stop these pointless attempts at humor. You are NOT funny.

2)Chris Brown- This king high douche recently had to cancel a concert performance in Guyana after women's groups protested the fact that this ass had beaten Rhianna in the past, gotten a neck tattoo celebrating it and, hopefully, for his god awful music that sounds like a duck being run over by a dump truck. It's a sad day for America when Guyana stands up this dick while we at home continue to buy his albums and nominate him for best R&B artist, which is odd because no singer in the last decade who won an R&B actually sings R&B. It's the equivalent of Metallica, Rancid and Jethro Tull vying for best country album. As someone who actually listens to REAL rhythm and blues, I am disgusted every time the category comes up. And please STOP listening to this guy if no other reason than his music is garbage.

3)Lisa Biron- This NH lawyer has been connected with an anti-gay, Christian group, Alliance Defending Freedom, who fight against gay marriage, adoption by gay couples and other bigoted nonsense. Turns out kiddie porn was not is her wheelhouse of things to be against as she was arrested this week for transporting a teen girl into Canada to have sex with an adult male and then filmed the whole thing. Maybe I missed that part of Sunday school but I don't remember the Lord saying sex with kids was okay. Even worse, she is also accused of supplying drugs to area teens as well, including cocaine and ecstasy. James Dobson, the idiot head of the Focus on the Family group was one of the original charters for this group but is not involved with any of this crap. Yet. Usually when you turn over one rock, the bugs scatter everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if more of these morons are involved as well in yet another kiddie porn scandal that envelops the rich, the powerful and the ultra religious.

4)Florida- This could quite possibility by the most inept state in the country. If you plan to murder someone make sure it is one of these three states: CA, CO or FL. Why? Because their police and judicial system are so messed up you could be filmed committing a crime and still walk. Florida has been in the cross hairs on a near regular basis for their Keystone cop-like method for solving crimes. This week it was discovered that Casey Anthony had Googled the words "foolproof suffocation" days before her daughter died. The defense story that it was her father that had looked up the words came up in trial and helped seal her freedom. The only problem is it wasn't true and the police department knew it. Turns out rather than do their fucking job, they only turned over less than 2% of the browser history and failed to inform the prosecution about this search as "they missed it." It also couldn't have been her father or mother as both were confirmed elsewhere during the time the words were punched in, also not realized by the police. Wow, way to let a murderer go free, losers.

5)Owners against Obamacare- Much like Lindsey Stone, these assholes haven't realized that free speech means consequences and these guys are paying for it. The CEO's of Denny's and Applebees have issued several press releases saying that the statements from franchise owners do NOT represent the values of the corporation itself who plan on implementing Obamacare freely and openly. Both companies said that the statements of a few individual franchise owners do not represent the plans from a majority of the businesses that will abide by the new law. The reason they said this was, contrary to what Fox News and conservative sites keep saying. Obamacare is very popular with a majority of the population. The biggest loser was the one guy who speaks for an entire company, John Schnatter of Papa John's. His profits have plummeted since opening his mouth and has been forced to issue an apology. Sort of. Now he says he was "misquoted," and was only using Obamacare as an example for a class he was teaching at the time and he has no plans to cut hours to save money. Right. You got caught saying something stupid, people rebelled against you and stopped buying your shitty pizza and now you have to backtrack something fierce. Most people I have talked with are saying too little, too late John. I hope you go bankrupt you rich fuck.

6)SF nudists- Nudity has finally been banned in San Fransisco after a bunch of tree hugging, dirt munching homos kept parading their winkled sacs and sagging breasts all over town. I am for personal freedom but the last thing I want to see is your nasty taint as you bend over to pick up poo from your foo foo dog which has more clothes on than you do. The notoriously gay Castro district was the big offender as many people, mostly men, shoved their wang in everyone's faces for predictably horrific consequences. I don't care if your gay, bi or whatever. But the last thing I want to see is your genitalia while I am having more morning cornflakes. This is free speech taken way to far.

7)Israel-Having bowed to international pressure AGAIN, Israel is the big loser in all of this. Palestinians are seeing this as a win and shows a direct correlation between violence and getting what they want. They have been shouting the usual "death to US/Israel." They show no sign of actual good faith negotiations. Meanwhile, Gaza will restock their weapons, which Iran has been more than happy to oblige, meaning all of this will happen again and the whole farce will begin anew. I am sick of watching wars be fought as a slap fight between two children, while one hides a knife behind his back.

8)Egypt- Fresh off the new power gotten from ending the Gaza war, the new President Morsi has responded by a power grab at home that has sent the country back into revolution mode. In an exact repeat of what ousted Mubarck, non-fanatical Muslims, secularists, and Coptic Christians have gathered in Tahir Square again with similar results. Tear gas and riot police are attacking the protesters who are responding with Molotov cocktails and rocks. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

9)Republicans still harping about Benghazi- Ronald Regan was president when almost 300 Marines died in Lebanon. George Bush was president when 3000 citizens died during 9/11. GOP outcry-0. Must be nice to be so hypocritical. Stop this witch hunt and get down to fixing the problems that are real and imminent.

10)American Consumers- People flocked to the stores this past weekend to get deals and huge sales. They acted like animals, where some were shot, some robbed, some trampled. Is this what we have become: a mob mentality where everything is about me, me, me? Look, I understand most of you out there do this because you make shit money at your crappy job and this is the only way to afford anything anymore. We know this to be true because even though foot traffic was up, total sales were down. People have less money to spend because corporations are squeezing us hard and no one wants to stand up to them. Walmart employees chickened out on a planned strike as they didn't want to risk their crappy job. Are you telling me you can't find another job that pays slave wages in your town? Please. A lot of these morons have been working at Walmart for six plus years. When I worked at jobs I hated, and there have been many of those, I spent every waking minute looking for something better and, surprise, I usually found one in less than a year that paid much better. If you are working for nothing and are NOT looking for something better you are one fucking lazy ass who deserves what you get which is nothing at this point. Unless we all start demanding better wages and better working conditions, things are going to get worse and worse. You think what you make is bad now, wait until the economy flat lines and see what you get then. Then we have these Internet trolls who don't understand that unions, for all their faults, are being dismantled, and with it our wages and benefits. Without collective bargaining, our wages have nose dived over the years and the conservative morons keep saying we should be happy to have a job, just like the slaves at plantations in the 1800's should have been happy to have a roof over their heads and gruel to eat. Go fuck yourself to anyone who keeps writing this crap. And to those idiots who keep bitching about those of us who pay no income taxes and that unions are the bane of our existence you are indeed douchebag of the week.

Friday, November 23, 2012

It has been a bad week for all of the above. Black Friday brought the ravenous zombies in search of great deals, with predictably violent results. The Israeli cease fire is a joke that now gives real power to Egypt, who wasted no time in grabbing for more at home. And the Jets were hilariously bad versus the Patriots in last night's game where they gave away three touchdowns in less than two minutes.

The planned strike by Walmart employees proved to be a groundless threat as nationwide, less than 50 people joined in, or roughly the same as last year. Until we start actually fighting for better wages, and that includes the possibility of losing your job, nothing will ever change and the lot of you will be stuck in slave labor forever. And just so you know, your kids will be in even worse shape because the mindless zombies we have become is truly shameless. Speaking of zombies, Black Friday has proven to be VERY profitable for the Big Box stores as people said "Fuck the employees and the fact that wages are falling further and further, I want that 50" plasma TV for $300."

In just that last 24 hours there has been a gang war reported at a mall in Tennessee, shots fired at a Walmart in Florida,  a drunk man in Washington ran over two people at a mall in Washington, a gun was on a pulled on a douche who cut in line and then punched a guy in the face in Texas, and other assorted mayhem across the nation. Is this what we have become: a nation of morons who will kill to get the latest Tickle Me Elmo? I am disgusted with America today.

Worse, I am sick of hearing from conservative assholes who have no understanding of how the economy works. I have read a near constant barrage of crap from the Teatards about how they have to work on Thanksgiving and they rest of us should not be bitching about it. They all seem to possess a complete lack of understanding of how humiliating it is to work forty hours a week, and be on food stamps because you don't make enough money and can't afford health care. The sad part is companies could be paying their workers a lot more money and it would actually increase their bottom line.

Workers in the 1950's enjoyed a salary that, adjusted for inflation, was roughly $50 an hour. Today it's around $11. If Walmart increased their salaries so that the lowest paid worker made $25,000 a year (they make roughly $18,000 now) prices would only increase by a modest one percent and most of that extra money would be funneled back into the economy and their stores, increasing their profit ratio dramatically. But people who work in business seem to have ZERO knowledge of how business operates and are in it for themselves and screw everyone else. Hostess is the latest example where the high level executives were more interested in padding their pockets than saving jobs or the company. Why should they care when they are going to walk away with millions regardless?

The rich people of this planet are the scourge of humanity and if we don't start taking steps to rectify it, the future is going to be very dark. We keep hearing about the Republicans who have a hard on to kill Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. All could be fixed with simple steps like means testing, removing the income cap and allowing hard jail time for any doctor accused of Medicare fraud. A recent study done by the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) estimates that by lifting the cap on SS income, the program would be viable to the end of the century, which as regular readers know, I have also been championing having reached the same conclusion. Then why the hell are NO politicians going for this common sense approach? Because rich people run the world right now and the rest of us are expendable. Even worse, studies show that because of the life the poor have to live, we don't live as long, meaning we get even less out of SS than those who are rich. Since 1977, the one percent have seen their life expectancy rise by just over six years. The rest of us only get 1.3 years added. Swell.

The rich are stealing everything from us and all the nation seems to care about are great deals at Walmart, Kim Kardashian's dating habits and reruns of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. It's a sad day to be an American.

But at least we don't live in the Middle East where two major developments have happened over the last few days: the Gaza cease fire and the rise of Egypt. The Palestinians have celebrated a major victory over the Israelis with chants of "death to Israel" and "Death to America." Israelis, especially those living close to Gaza, saw it as a capitulation to the Arab world and that it was only a matter of time before the rockets start firing again. I agree with the cease fire, although Netanyahu should have given Hamas a serious ultimatum. If rockets start firing again from Gaza with any kind of regularity, the next time Gaza will be flattened into the ground and there will be nothing left. That message was not delivered and therefore, I believe the Israeli people are right that this will all happen again and more people will die. This is how to lose a war and a country. It is also the same playbook the West has used since the Korean War with predictable results. Unless you crush your enemy, and that includes civilians, the war will NEVER end. I know that sounds brutal, but that is what war is. You cannot worry about the other side. Your country and it's people must come first and if killing millions save one thousand people on your side, it is perfectly acceptable. The other result is endless war where, eventually, millions will die on both sides. Which is better?

Egypt has used the crisis to bolster the new President, Mohamed Morsi, by declaring any new laws given from his office could not be challenged until Parliament reforms. Cries of "Pharaoh" erupted and new protests against the Muslim Brotherhood spread across the nation. Some of the Brotherhoods building were set aflame and others pelted with rocks from the secular or non-Muslim groups angry at this latest insult. Many feared another Mubarak-like rule and sent many into a panic. The West is worried another dictator is forming in a place where a Muslim rule could be very dangerous.

And I have to give a big shout out to the Jets who yesterday embarrassed themselves by losing BADLY to the Patriots in a huge romp. I know a lot of people who are Jets fans today that are really mad at how piss poor their team played.

I hope all of you out there had a good Thanksgiving. I also hope for peace and love. Unfortunately, considering what I've witnessed over the past 24 hours, it seems very unlikely.
