THE FISCAL CLIFF, GREECE, THE GOP AND OTHER DISASTERS

It took all of 48 hours for the idiot Republican party to look at Obama straight in the face and say the country is divided on tax hikes for the rich and they wouldn't support them for any reason. That some real Karl Rove math there because the last poll I saw said 80% of the country wanted tax hikes for upper echelons. California voted for tax hikes on upper earners to help pay off some of their massive debt. Where could they possibly have heard that we don't want rich people to pay more? Oh, it's Grover Norquest bullshit and more GOP math that has 2 plus 2 equals 5. What part of compromise are you assholes not getting?

The Turtle and the Sobber (McConnel and Boehner) both said no tax hikes would be negotiable which, as a negotiating tactic, equals the Palestinians telling the Israelis the only way they will ever have peace is if every Jew killed themselves first. This is NOT going to work and most of us had had it with this kind of crap. If the country doesn't fall into a Mad Max like anarchy because of their stalling nonsense, they will get creamed in the next election. Obama wisely said, F YOU, and that tax hikes WILL be on the table. The Republicans better get used to that foot on their Adam's Apple that the democrats have because the election WAS a mandate to get shit done and to stop killing the country for your petty grasp at power.

Some are still bitching about Obama winning, Companies are threatening to lay off people because of "Obamacare," which is funny because not only has it not been implemented yet, but the horror stories we hear about what will happen have yet to materialize in hear in MA where Romneycare works quite well. The things you hear about long waits for doctors and skyrocketing costs are more GOP math. It is simply not happening and, as someone who knows the insurance industry better than these dicks, has no potential to ever happen. The main flaw with Obamacare is no public option which makes it somewhat unworkable. I am hoping the new congress can try fix that but I am not holding my breath. The GOP and Joe Lieberman helped kill that provision and it is a necessity to have everyone have access to medical care. Now if only get costs down and credit card companies to stop raping us with exorbitant rates, the middle class may grow again. And the middle class needs a raise, a big one. We can pay for that by redistributing wealth from the 1% down to create a more stable middle class. The worst part about this, is that the people on top will still make hundreds of millions of dollars and the country will be much more stable. But the greedy bastards want it all for themselves and are telling the rest of us to eat cake.

As a result of the idiotic positions from the losers known as the Republicans party, the country is headed for disaster. Let's use Greece as an example of how not to fix things. The government there passed ANOTHER round of austerity which included such provisions as pay cuts, pension losses and, unbelievably, making it easier to fire people. Yeah, that's why the country is in dire straights, people were making too much and could never be fired. The reason they went bankrupt is the banks played fast and loose with their money and lost it all gambling. Now to pay it back they are telling the workers of Greece it is all their fault wanting to get paid a reasonable wage and good working conditions. Contrary to what you have heard, the average salary in Greece before the collapse was similar to here, where real wages had fallen for decades and have led to the exact problems we are also experiencing. Greece is on the verge of a civil war after six years of a massive Depression. The media keeps calling it a recession which is odd because, by the very definition of that word, Greece has been in a full blown Depression for some time. Spain is another. Ireland, Portugal, and Italy are in a recession. Calling it something else is not convincing anyone how bad things really are.

The packages that Greece keeps passing as the exact same nonsense that Romney and Ryan were peddling so thank God they didn't win or else we'd be looking like Greece by next summer. That's not to say we still might be headed down that same road as the GOP seems unlikely to end the stalemate in Congress by doing their jobs and compromising.

We need to raise taxes on rich people. We need to give the middle class a raise decades in the waiting. Obama should start asking for a $12 an hour minimum wage if corporations are not willing to do it on their own. No one should be working forty hours a week to go bankrupt if they get sick or injured. We shouldn't be falling further and further behind because wages are NOT keeping up with inflation and are actually falling. In 1970, you could expect to see around $40,000 a year. Today, it's $26,000. Gas in 1970 was $.50 a gallon. It's almost $4 now. The rich have taken everything from us and then turned around and blamed us for the problems.

We stand at a real moment here that comes around once a century. We can legalize weed and tax the hell out of it, creating jobs and raising revenue. We can start taking energy independence seriously and not freak out every time some green company fails because that is how progress happens. We can start looking at people who vote for the most retarded GOP candidates and publicly humiliate them for being assholes. This country is filled with tards who think otherwise and they need to be stopped.

A recent poll came out that said one third of this country would be fine wearing a shock bracelet to get on a plane. Another third said they would have no problem with a full body cavity search to do the same. These are sheeple to the fullest, and to be fair, more democrats had no problem with this than Republicans, although the fact that anyone was okay with either proposal is unbelievable. The TSA is currently seeking power to be able to tell people to do anything anywhere, airport or not. I hope they have a good supply of body bags at that point because I have a feeling that the new Gestapo would be as popular as rabies and many would reach a similar fate. There is a reason we have a second amendment in this country and that is exactly the kind of abuse that a lot of people would be very unhappy with.

With legal weed, the IRS is still cracking down on growers in several states. This should be met with force if it continues. The government has no right to tell states what to do in these instance and if we don't start standing up for our rights, we won't have any left.

Obama has a chance to do some real good. If he doesn't, or if the House decides to burn us all for their stupidity, we are in a lot of trouble. The fiscal cliff will cause massive job layoffs, tax increases for everyone and, possibility, civil war. We can either stand together or we can die apart. Your choice Republicans as you have the power to do either. Choose wisely because, if things go badly, the first people we are coming for is you.
