HISTORY SUGGESTS BAD DAY COME NOVEMBER FOR THE GOP

While it is way to early to lend much credence to national or state polls, history suggests that the Republicans have a long, near insurmountable, road ahead. Right now, national polls have Obama neck and neck with Romney, a poll that means absolutely nothing. To gauge it's accuracy, at this point in time four years ago, McCain had a several point lead over Obama, and we all know how that turned out. No the big deal is in the state by state numbers and in that, Romney is falling behind in many key states.

Swing states like Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania are all leaning toward Obama, which if he wins in the election, Romney has no hope. With anti-GOP fever in places like Ohio, thanks to anti-union, anti-gay and anti-women actions, Ohio is going to be a tough sell. Other key states like New Mexico, Nevada and Florida are leaning toward Obama by a slim margin. All this spells disaster for the upcoming election, short of some debacle from the Obama campaign, a highly unlikely potential.

The facts remains that the demographics of the country has changed and the GOP has not changed with it. In presidential elections, especially ones that affect the youth vote directly, young people vote almost completely towards the democratic candidate. As the Republicans have decided to screw with tuition rates by tying the rate change of tuition with defunding of women's health programs, the bill is all but dead. The youth are not fools and will blame the GOP for this mess. If they show up, along with unions, gays, Hispanics, blacks and single women, Romney has no chance of winning. The entire GOP may suffer as few of the above mentioned groups are likely to vote GOP for the Senate as well.

Romney is not helping himself with a near daily foot in mouth syndrome that will sink him as the election gets near. John Kerry, another MA politician who got his clock cleaned in a general election and with good reason, was a gaffe machine as well and look how that turned out. Why is it MA politicians can do such a good job here, yet screw up royally when they go national? Kerry, Romney, Dukakis, Kennedy. JFK was the only good one in the bunch and he's been dead for fifty years.

Romney's latest gaffe was to tell students that if they want to go college all they have to do is borrow money from their parents. Yeah, lots of parents in today's go nowhere jobs have a couple hundred thousand dollars laying around. Oh wait a minute they don't. Only rich douchebags like you can do this and I hate to break it to you, but MOST OF US ARE FUCKING POOR! Unbelievable the level of total idiocy the rich have for the rest of us.

So Romney is losing ground and what does he do? He is shocked, SHOCKED, that Obama would use a campaign ad touting the fact that he killed Osama bin Laden (and for the conspiracy theorists out there, he really did die in that compound, lest you believe the NAVY SEALS are a big bunch of liars, which I do not). They GOP said this type of rhetoric has no business in political ads, nevermind the fact that they use actual quotes from Mitt Romney himself about how he wouldn't have done what Obama did and the fact that the Republicans have had 9/11 on speed-dial for the past eleven years, and that does have some real questions about whether it really happened the way they say it did. This is the way politics are played and stop being all high and mightily about something you've been doing for the last decade. And if any NAVY Seals really are upset it's being used for political gain, should really take their heads out of their ass and realize that this has been going on since man first walked on earth. It's a perfectly acceptable ad that does not distort the truth about anything or anyone and let's start looking at real questions about wealth inequality and the loss of the American Dream first.

The GOP looks to lose big in the next election if history has anything to say. The fact that they seem hell bent on destroying the country as well should give anyone pause to ever vote for any of these fools again. The GOP is not the same party you grew up with and are becoming more and more domineering and fascist as the days go by. They want to tell you what you can and can't do (no abortions, no gay rights, no immigration, no drugs, no freedom, slave wages and more). If this is the country you want, get your Nazi uniform ready because that's what you are voting for.
