Mind you that you wouldn't know that the center of the universe right now is squarely over Iran as the MSM has their hands full with a multitude of other stories. Normally I'd harp on them for doing the business as usual stance and not informing the American people of anything of importance, but as there are SO many things happening of almost equal importance it is almost understandable that this story doesn't get more press. The Sandusky story is bigger than even the media is willing to go and the financial meltdown continues worldwide with a stock market no where near based in reality anymore somehow goes up. They do know the Euro is going to go belly up right? Or a civil war is going to erupt, much like here? These are the only two possibilities unless......
War with Iran is looking to be a foregone conclusion at this point. Sanctions, which never work anyway except on the innocent public, have been abandoned (although publicly all countries wish for them, they might as well ask for a million dollars and a pony for all the good it will do). Obama realizes that the economic harm to our country and the real possibility that they won't work anyway has forced his hand. Russia says only a diplomatic solution is possible, which it isn't. Negotiations on this subject will get you no where.
Which leads to the third, really sucky option. War by April 2012. At least that's when Iran will have at least five nukes according to Israeli intelligence, and totally feasible knowing what we know about their current nuclear program regardless of what any one thinks. It is highly unlikely that Israel will allow this to happen as they are understandably skittish about genocide. How long before Tehran gives those nukes to Hamas or Hezbollah? And where will those nukes wind up you ask? Depending on how many they make, expect them in every major city through the world. Iran could blackmail the world into whatever they like. This is not theory but an actual war plan that could, and will, be drawn up for a country like Iran. North Korea's only reason for not doing it themselves is they don't have the funds for an operation like this. Iran, with their oil money, does in a big way. A nuclear Iran is not an option worth contemplating, and the alternative may actually be less lethal. If these reports are accurate, war with Iran is imminent.
I firmly believe the "hostilities" between Israel and the rest of the world may be manufactured. Maybe Sarkoszy and Obama knew their mikes were on and put on a little show for us. Think about it, these tifts give Europe and the US plausible disability about any attack; that Netanyahu won't tell us before hand. If Iran thinks Israel is going it alone, they may overplay their hand and strike at Israel without thinking. If that occurs, a sneak attack from NATO forces could sink the country. It would be a brilliant move. Israel attacks. We publicly denounces the whole thing and say "we won't help." Iran retaliates massively against Israel. Iran is attacked from their weak flank and, as all their forces are on their Western border, we attack from the Indian Ocean and Afghanistan. It would devastate Iran. Is Syria decides to help, no Arab country other Lebanon would join in as they have branded a pariah by the Arab League who want him to step down. In this scenario, Iran would have their hands full with a serious bombing campaign, if not outright invasion and Israel would wipe Syria from the Earth. You know your days are numbered when even your own fellow Muslims are telling you enough is enough.
War may be coming and don't expect Iran to just lie down and die. However, if our government is smart enough to pull off this trickery, and Obama has been very adept at foreign crisis's so far, this plan of attack could make this war quick and hopefully painless. If Israel really is going it alone, then we will all have serious problems with the outcome, including a war that may be fought in our streets.
Be prepared for whatever may happen be it economic collapse, war or all three.
We are THE 99. We do not forgive. We do not forget.
Fear us.
