OBAMA'S BRILLANT IRAN STRATEGY PROVES HE'S GOOD AT ONE THING: FOREIGN POLICY. DOMESTIC NOT SO MUCH BUT STILL BETTER THAN ANY REPUBLICAN.

If you've been watching just about any major news network, this huge story has slipped through the cracks and not without reason. Last week it was announced through foreign media sources that Russia had quietly disengaged from Syria and Iran. Russian naval vessels suddenly left Syrian ports to head home and all arms shipments have discontinued. According to Russian sources, they believe military action is imminent in both Syria and Iran and have decided that a nuclear Armageddon is not in anyone's interests. This is exactly why nuclear determent works with rational humans beings and one thing religious wingnuts, and lately the Republican party, have in common is a complete lack of rational thinking. Neither of these archetypes can be allowed to get into power lest the world may very well end.

The Russian actions have been directly ordered by Putin over the objections of his military commanders. Some of the steps taken include ending a large scale military exercise that was supposed to start in mid-August, sending all warships back home, the end of all military aid, and the end of all supply parts. While unverified, I am sure the United States and Europe have made some backroom deals to supplant any Syrian profits lost, thus gaining the Russians to back off what may have been the start of WW3.

To respond in kind, the United States have told Israel that while aid will continue unabated, they will receive no military or reconnaissance help of any kind should they plan an attack on Iran. Joint exercises have been dramatically reduced and not include troops manning anti-missile weaponry. This "abandonment" of Israel may have some effect of the election as Republicans are already trying to exploit this by passing a most likely symbolic (as it has little chance of passage) statement from Congress pledging support for Israel if they attack. This short sighted nonsense is exactly why Republicans cannot be trusted in power as their idiocy will kill us all.

There is a reason why we didn't get involved in either the Six Days War, mainly because we were not needed, or the Yom Kippor war, which nearly ended in a nuclear war and WW3. The mistakes from the latter are still fresh in Russia and the US and neither side wants a repeat of that. If Russia and the US get dragged into a war with each other, the world will end and we all die. Fun. But, if both sides disengage and let those two duke it out on their own, Armageddon is averted. This is a brilliant strategy and a nuance that is lost on the sledgehammer policies of the GOP.

But what if Iran attacks us anyway some of you ask? That is the best part. If Iran is stupid enough to think, "Hey why not bring the most dangerous, best equipped military country on Earth into the fray," the level of destruction they will experience will make Dresden look like a cookout and the Russians won't get involved in such a scenario. Much the same way we looked the other way when Georgia went rouge, nobody would disavow an act of war on any sovereign country and stay far out of that fight. Unless Russian interests are harmed, they will sit on the sidelines with this.

Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah said on Sept. 3 that Iran would hit US bases in the Middle East in response to any Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities, even if the Americans were not involved. This is a dream scenario for the West as Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, and Iran may be wiped from the face of the earth with little international condemnation, expect possibly toward Israel and everyone hates them anyway. The US can stand behind Israel and use them as the blocker for any action that comes should they get involved should a group like Hezbollah follow through on their threats.

Rumor is, Israel will attack Iran before the election which could catapult Obama into an easy second term as their is little evidence to suggest that the public would be willing to change presidents during a major war, unless things go badly such a suicide bombers here in the states. But even that could cause problems if elections are suspended due to safety concerns and martial law declared, none of which helps Romney or the GOP. Their ability to bad mouth a president in such a scenario will also end as we saw how well that went during the Bush administration after 911. If you want to have your own party lynch you start calling the president a coward or unpatriotic or Muslim lover while he's busy killing Muslims left and right.

This has been played perfectly as it has neutralized the Russians, greatly diminished the chances for an all out nuclear war, and uses Israel as a shield against any incrimination against the US. It also helps his chances at being President for another term. If the GOP tries to use his against him, he should be able to deflect their words right back at them as this is a common sense provision that saves US lives here and abroad and show that the GOP are bloodthirsty warmongers who only know how to kill with no long term strategy on what to do after (Iran and Afghanistan for example). Romney failed to mention either in his speech last week at the RNC and, for the first time in decades, the troops were left out too.

Romney is probably not going to win at this rate but the Senate and House still have too many close races that shouldn't be. Here in MA we have a neck and neck race with Warren and Brown but I am hoping women and young people show up in droves to oust him while in CT Murphy is somehow losing to Linda McMahon, the same bitch who got creamed running for the House two years ago. This goes to show how short people's memories are. Anyone in CT needs to put Murphy into office as McMahon is dangerously stupid and will crush CT into the Earth worse than it already is. I used to live in CT and fled the state some time ago due to the super high taxes (highest in the country) and low paying work. The level of corruption, which I have witnessed first hand, is some of the worst in the country with the failed Adrian's Landing Project killed by greed and mismanagement a shining example of why not to do business there.

Obama may be a total douche when it comes to domestic policies (lay off the medical marijuana arrests already and start talking about how to bring GOOD paying jobs to the country) but his foreign actions have been really well thought out and well executed. Funny how the stuff that doesn't require the Republican party's approval actually work and anything that has to go through Congress dies a painful death. Get rid if the party of 1812 and let's start moving toward a better future.

On a quick side note, on Bill Maher last Friday, a documentary was shot at the RNC, interviewing people attending. One such individual said he though Obama was a Muslim and that he had been behind 911. That has got to be the stupidest thing ever said anywhere as Obama wasn't even involved in any sort of high level politics at that point. Is this the level of delusion we have to deal with from now on? What next, Obama is Hitler's secret love child? Obama is from another planet? Obama is gay? That last one actually exists in cyberspace with, as usual, zero evidence like the birther nonsense. If Romney wins due to retards like these people, we are all so screwed because Mitt strikes me as a guy with something to prove and that kind of attitude gets lots of people killed.

  1. I am no fan of the GOP, but "get rid if the party of 1812 and let's start moving toward a better future"? What, you want a "one" party system? You've got to be kidding!

  2. We already have a one party system as BOTH parties are beholden to corporate money. What I want is to get rid of Republicans and then get a new one to replace it that honors all Americans and not just the rich ones. Chances are this will never happen as money is too entwined within our government. However, is we continue down this road, there won't be an America left. The GOP must go and a new party must begin. It is our only hope.
