THE TPP PROVES TO BE HUGE DRAG ON REPUBLICANS AS POLL NUMBERS DROP FOR SUPPORTERS!

There is some hope that things could work out for us when the far right, far left and moderates all agree on something, which is as rare as TLC not airing a program that makes normal people want to retch. The TPP is that lynchpin as it contains something for everyone to hate. The left and unions hate the fact that jobs will be lost in record numbers, moderates hate the fact that small businesses could be regulated out of existence and the right hates the fact that immigration and back door gun control could be used on the public. Congratulations corporatists, you have succeeded where so many before you have failed and, in the process, made the election of many right wing lunatics even less likely come 2016, not to mention any idiot democrat supporting this nonsense.

The TPP is the end of everything we know as corporations will have supreme power over nation states, a fact that are already using with NAFTA, even though that law was never meant for such use, but who cares, free money ya'll. But only for the rich so there is that.

Paul Ryan has been championing the law, sounding just like Nancy Pelosi, which the right rightfully vilified when she said "you can read it when it passes." Guess who just said the exact same thing? If you said Ryan, then you would be dead on right. Guess whose poll numbers are dropping as well? Right now, in order to read said bill, you have to have top security clearance, be pre-approved even if you do (as Robert Reich found out when he tried to read it and was denied), and even then go through a TSA style patdown and read the text while an angry guard glowers over your shoulder. None of the former sentence is hyperbole. That is really what they are doing. However, 600 corporations have access to it. Tell me that isn't troubling?

Ted Cruz, another champion of this treasonous bill, has watched his numbers stagnate as opposition grows on the right. Worthless, non-fixes have been proposed, but even the dumbest person sees that for what it is: lip service. Traditional dumbass, Congressman Steve King, put forth a "fix" that would do nothing of the sort, proving once again, he is possibly the stupidest person in Congress .Apparently, his solution was for a different bill entirely and wouldn't work regardless which is of course, the GOP way. This has not stopped Ryan, Cruz and King, among others on both sides of the aisle, from crowing about this "accomplishment." The right is constantly filled with ideas that either have failed or will fail. Who votes for someone is not only always wrong but provably so?

WikiLeaks have released some of the data, which suggests that immigration and gun control may be in the cards here, but it definitely says that drug prices will skyrocket world wide, killing millions who will be unable to afford said drugs, a lot of whom will be right here at home. This is from Myway.news:

| 09 June 2015 | An already difficult road for the Trans-Pacific Partnership in the House of Representatives got bumpier on Monday, as controversial Medicare cuts were brought into the mix. Labor unions and senior citizens’ groups are launching efforts to lobby House members against a bill that includes $700 million in proposed cuts to Medicare reimbursements for doctors and hospitals. The cuts would be used to fund a $2.5 billion extension of Trade Adjustment Assistance funding, which aids workers who lose their jobs as a result of trade [sic] deals. The TAA extension accompanies legislation known as Trade Promotion Authority, which gives President Barack Obama the ability to “fast-track” trade deals, including TPP, a controversial trade corporate takeover agreement between the United States and 11 Pacific Rim nations. The Huffington Post has obtained exclusive access to two letters, both sent to House members on Monday, one from labor unions and one from a number of seniors groups.

So if this passes, we can expect higher prices for drugs and less ways to pay for them. Take a stab whose getting that bill?

This bill will kill small businesses as cheap goods favor Home Depot and Walmart and mom and pop stores will disappear forever, taking half of America's jobs with them. Unions will be decimated as low paying Mcjobs become the norm. And forget about food safety or environmental hazards being looked at; they are already under attack. ISDS laws are already being used to favor big companies over safety concerns as seen by the new food standards forced on us by Canada and Mexico, using NAFTA.

The House just voted, under pressure from those two countries, to stop labeling foreign meat, so now we have no idea if the hamburger we bought was from Iowa or Mexico or Vietnam. Knowing what you know about Mexico, would you really rather eat meat from there rather than here? This is NAFTA in action. How do you think the TPP will be, which is far worse than that awful piece of legislation, when it gets enacted?

This is from Jonrappaport.com:

Leaks indicate that the TPP will set up private courts to rule on disputes between corporations and governments. For example, a foreign corporation tries to export a product to the US. They’re blocked. They appeal to this court. Relevant US law and US courts are ignored. Questions pertaining to environmental harm or toxicity re the product are decided in secret.

As Wikileaks notes, “Similar mechanisms have already been used. For example, US tobacco company Phillip Morris used one such tribunal to sue Australia (June 2011 – ongoing) for mandating plain packaging of tobacco products on public health grounds; and by the oil giant Chevron against Ecuador in an attempt to evade a multi-billion-dollar compensation ruling for polluting the environment. The threat of future lawsuits chilled environmental and other legislation in Canada after it was sued by pesticide companies in 2008/9. ISDS [Investor-State Dispute Settlement] tribunals are often held in secret, have no appeal mechanism, do not subordinate themselves to human rights laws or the public interest, and have few means by which other affected parties can make representations.”

Like GATT, NAFTA, and CAFTA, the TPP is a Globalist treaty that expands the power of mega-corporations around the world. At will, they move their manufacturing operations to places where workers are virtual slaves. They sell goods across borders, without paying billions in tariffs, regardless of the effects on smaller competitors, who are torpedoed and forced out of business.

Yeah that law sounds awesome, if you are a politician or corporation that is. To the rest of us, it sounds like treason. We the people can't know what's in it until it passes. But the rich know. Corporations know. And we are told, trust us, we know what is best. Except you don't. You have been actively trying to enslave us for decades and now you may get your wish. We cannot let this happen. If it does pass, this country will change and not for the better. The one thing we have going for us is that regardless of party, we all hate it. So remember that come 2016 and stop voting for people trying to put you in the grave. It's will be our last, and best hope, to have a revolution peacefully. If we do not prevail, the level of breakdown we will have in society will be beyond reason. Don't let that happen.
