In January of last year, a minor snowstorm dumped several inches of snow on Atlanta and crippled the city as they lack the ability to remove it on any kind of grand scale. I would be stunned if they had more than six plows for the entire state. The local government got dumped all over for failing to heed warning by local forecasters, even going so far to try to put the blame on them apparently unaware that forecasts are saved and available for all to see. It was a giant fuck-up. Ten days later, another storm of similar magnitude struck South Carolina who proceeded to do the exact same thing that Georgia got in trouble for. How can you be unaware to something that happened less than a hundred miles away and made national news? Now, we have Arkansas trying to pass the same bill that is crippling Indiana as we speak.
Several of my readers out there have commented on having read the Indiana law and were surprised how vague the whole thing is. Not only could gays be denied service, but so could have Jews, Hari Krishnas or any other "offensive" things that upset delicate sensibilities that way too many people seem to suffer from lately. Mike Pence has backtracked so fast and so far he might as well have moon walked to China. He has denied vehemently that this bill was never against gay people and was shocked, SHOCKED, that anyone would think this. Dumb ass seems to have missed the memo from his Attorney General who specifically said in writing that this law would be used to deny service to gays and lesbians due to their "crimes against God," or something to that effect. This asshole does know some of us can read right?
Here are three things from Mike Pence own website, now taken down (stunner):
- Congress should oppose any effort to put gay and lesbian relationships on an equal legal status with heterosexual marriage.
- “Congress should oppose any effort to recognize homosexual’s as a ‘discreet and insular minority’ entitled to the protection of anti-discrimination laws similar to those extended to women and ethnic minorities.
- “… bringing an end to the ‘don’t ask/don’t tell’ policy of permitting homosexuals to serve in the armed forces. Homosexuality is incompatible with military service because the presence of homosexuals in the ranks weakens unit cohesion.”
Arkansas on the other hand is a whole other breed of stupid. Their State Legislature, seeing what was going on in Indians and the hundreds of millions of dollars it already cost the state, went through with their own religious freedom laws that mirrors the Indiana one exactly. WTF? WTF? WTF? How moronic do you have to be to see that this law will cripple your state? Every single person who voted for this idiotic law should be impeached immediately and anyone even thinking of voting for one of these morons again should consider suicide a valuable alternative. Thank God Governor Asa Hutchinson is the voice of reason and begged the legislature to change the wording to not allow discrimination against gays and lesbians. The fact that WalMart, the state's largest employer by leaps and bounds, came out strongly against this bill and truth be told, may force them to relocate if it goes through. or else they could face lawsuits in Federal court for anti-discrimination practices. However, the retards running their Senate seem not to want to do that, meaning drunken, mentally challenged monkeys could do a better job than these losers.
Gay people are going to be accepted everywhere. Gay marriage is going to occur and gay people are going to come to your places of business. Deal with it. They spend money like everyone else. You don't have to like it, but you do have to tolerate it. It's what Jesus would have done. Why can't you Christians ever act more like him?
