1)Randy Lee Tenley- A future nominee for the Darwin awards, this brainpower thought it would hysterical to dress up like Bigfoot and scare passing vehicles. Nevermind the fact that I HATE hoaxers, as they mess up true scientific studies with their shenanigans (and yes people, Bigfoot may indeed exist as there are many experts in the field who have found near definitive evidence that cannot be easily explained away, unlike UFO's or psychics which are almost always hoaxes or misidentification), but, as this individual found out, highly dangerous. Case in point, if you are wearing a dark, shaggy outfit on the side of the road at night, chances are you are going to get hit, which is exactly what happened to Captain numnuts here. After the first car spun him into the road, a second car finished him off. This would be funny if it wasn't so damned pathetic. RIP loser.
2)TSA- It wouldn't be a douchebag column without an appearance from the old standby of the TSA. These assholes are showing up everywhere, most recently at the RNC which Ron Paul supporters must have loved. Speaking of Ron Paul, the modern day Brownshirts accosted Paul as he was leaving a small airport in Clearwater, FL. Eight fascists told Paul he had to be screened as Mitt Romney's plane was nearby. Ron Paul is a respected member of Congress and this kind of treatment is exactly the kind of crap you get in a totalitarian society where thugs want to make an example of you. NO member of Congress, down to the nutty ones like Bachmann and West, should ever be screened by TSA. THEY ARE NOT TERRORISTS. To behave like they are is horrifying and disrespectful Here is a Ron Paul interview from CNN:
“There’s no way you can travel if you don’t do it. So I’ve said, you know, when you look at some of these pictures of probing groin areas and breast areas and all this, and old women having to take their clothes off, if we as a people are so complacent that we can look at that and say, oh, that’s OK, they’re making us safe.”
“It doesn’t make us safe. It undermines our liberties and there’s a much better way of giving us security at the airports than accepting the bureaucrats and the politicians in Washington. That is totally unacceptable from my viewpoint.” Paul said.
In 2010, Paul introduced the American Traveler Dignity Act to shield Americans from the abuses of the TSA.
“My legislation is simple,” he said in prepared remarks. “It establishes that airport security screeners are not immune from any US law regarding physical contact with another person, making images of another person, or causing physical harm through the use of radiation-emitting machinery on another person. It means they are subject to the same laws as the rest of us.”
It is exactly this kind of legislation that the modern day Gestapo of the TSA/DHS want to stop. These security measures do not work and are actually making us less safe. Not one terrorist has been stopped since these steps have been taken and, as a matter of fact, have allowed some terrorists like the Undibomber to skate through these so called preventive measures. The TSA must be abolished and the right to free travel established again, as the Constitution demands. Tyranny looms.
3)Yahoo- This week at the RNC, their Washington Bureau chief, David Chalian was fired for making a minorly inappropriate statement which, in my opinion, was way more extreme a reaction from a largely true statement. Here is what he said during a moment he didn't realize his mike was on: Mitt Romney and his wife Ann were "not concerned at all" and "happy to have a party with black people drowning." Isn't that exactly what happened? The GOP whooped it up as people along the Gulf Coast lost everything in flooding worse than Katrina, the same people they are all set to screw over should they come to power. His firing was overkill.
4)Tom Smith- Yet another Republican who is far to stupid to hold office. This week, the man running for Senate in PA put his foot in his mouth when he compared a rape victim having a baby to his daughter who had a baby out of wedlock. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THING ASS! As of right now, his opponent is leading by 19 points. Good. Todd Akin's idiocy hopefully will kill his career possibilities too although recent polls have showed a tightening race which means people from Missouri are really too stupid to live. The whole anti-science thing the GOP has going for it is a backward step for all of mankind.
5)Gina Rinehart- Fat Bastards's twin sister from Australia, and the world richest woman, has this advice for all you people out there wondering why the economy is nose diving for you: IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! Yes, it's not the greedy rich sucking all the wealth from the planet like a giant vacuum cleaner but the unwashed, lazy masses.
"If you're jealous of those with more money, don't
just sit there and complain," she said in
a magazine piece. "Do something to make more money yourself -- spend less
time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working."
Marie Antoinette would have been proud. And did she build her mining empire from the ground up by hard work and dedication? No, this obese bitch inherited from her rich daddy a sum of $30 billion dollars. Wow, how do you survive on that paltry sum? She went on to blame socialism, anti government policies and the minimum wage, which she wants to cut along with taxes for her rich cronies. I hope she pulls a Mama Cass and chokes on a ham sandwich.
6)Clint Eastwood- His speech at the RNC last night was bizarre at best. Besides the fact that using Hollywood elites to push your agenda while simultaneously spitting on them is not the best tactic to win over new recruits. Then, as the speech went on and Eastwood began to hold a conversation with an imaginary Obama, I couldn't decide whether he was acting or losing his mind. The added bonus was this speech overshadowed Romney's as that weird speech was the big story of today. Eastwood also mentioned things like getting out of Afghanistan and closing Gitmo, neither of which are on the GOP platform to accomplish. If you wanted to stump speech for Obama, Clint you did a great job.
7)Job creators- We keep hearing that giving money to rich people will create jobs and they were right if low paying, low skilled jobs are your cup of tea. A recent report form the Labor Dept. found that 60% of the job losses were for people making between $13.84- $21.13, or the middle class. Since then 58% of all jobs created have been between $7.69 and $13.83 or a massive pay cut. Most of the new jobs were in retail and food service, or low paying, go nowhere jobs. If these are the jobs you want more tax cuts for, keep them. I'd rather raise taxes on you and try to create wealth another way because this will only lead to a new, huge poverty class. You can take your slave labor and shove it.
8)Syria- Israeli sources have said that the Russians are leaving Syria and cutting off all aid. If this is true, and I have little reason to doubt that it is, Syria is so screwed as their country is going to be as badly equipped as the rebels at this rate. The chances for an attack on Syria increases dramatically while also decreasing the chances for an all out nuclear war. Assad days are numbered.
9)Morgan Stanley- All indications are this bank is about to go under and take all investor money with it. If you have any kind of balance with the bank, get it out now as, pretty soon, it may disappear with no hope of getting it back thanks to a new federal law that gives the biggest investors their money back first and screws everyone else.
10)Japan- Rumor is Japan is about to run out of money as their fiscal situation is no better than anyone else's on the planet. Much like here, politics is preventing a bill going through their system that would save their economy but the other side wants early elections and are holding it up, meaning they must be following the GOP playbook. Unless some steps are taken, Japan will run out of money sometime next month.
11) Mitt Romney- This speech was terrible. It spelled out nothing that hasn't been debunked, spent more time on his background than anyone cared to hear and provided no reason why anyone should vote for this man or the GOP in general. Let's look at what he said.
Romney, Aug 30-I’m running for president to help create a better future. A future where everyone who wants a job can find a job. Where no senior fears for the security of their retirement. An America where every parent knows that their child will get an education that leads them to a good job and a bright horizon. And unlike the president, I have a plan to create 12 million new jobs.”
Much like VP nominee Ryan, Romney invented a number with no way to implement it. Some have even suggested, like Moody's, that if the economy does create those jobs, Romney will have little effect on the fact that it would have happened anyway with or without him.

Romney, Aug 30-“I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began his presidency with an apology tour. America, he said, had dictated to other nations. No, Mr. President. America has freed other nations from dictators.”
This never happened except in the minds of the Republican party.

Romney, Aug 30-His $716 billion cut to Medicare to finance Obamacare will both hurt today’s seniors and oppress innovation and jobs in medicine.”
This $716 billion is going to cut payment to doctors and insurance companies, not cuts in services. Plus, the Ryan Budget plan has exactly the same amount in both of its incarnations. Romney has pledged to not enact that part, but as it is how we are going to pay for Medicare in the future, Romney's plan will bankrupt it that much quicker.
Romney Aug 30: In the richest country in the history of the world, this Obama economy has crushed the middle class. Family income has fallen by $4,000, but health insurance premiums are higher, food prices are higher, utility bills are higher, and gasoline prices have doubled. Today more Americans wake up in poverty than ever before. Nearly one out of six Americans is living in poverty. Look around you. These are not strangers. These are our brothers and sisters, our fellow Americans.

Income has not fallen $4000 under Obama as most of that drop occurred during the Bush administration. However, income has fallen a lot since the so called recovery of 2009, so Obama is not completely blameless here either. And as for poverty, once again most of those fell into it during the latter Bush years, like your truly here.
All in all, the speech was light on details and unlikely to win over any new voters. While it wasn't the lie fest Ryan gave the night before, it was hardly electrifying either. Obama may not be a great president but he is a great speaker. Expect his speech next week to be far better with, hopefully, a few more specifics than the waste of space the RNC was. So congratulations Mitt Romney you are indeed douchebag of the week.
