DOUCHEBAG OF THE WEEK: GEORGE W.BUSH

It takes a lot of balls to be continue to spew garbage and actually believe the nonsense you are saying. Everyone this week in the GOP seems to have shifted to some alternate reality where facts don't matter and Obama is the devil regardless of what he does. The winner though was Bush who is now officially the worst president ever due to several factors that roared their evil little heads this week.Let's see those runner ups in a typically slow week for late August.

1)DOJ- Eric Holder and Obama get some credit for taking the first step to legalizing marijuana by laying off states like Colorado and Washington. We'll see if the DEA and local DA's follows suit but it is a positive move toward not only saving this country billions in lost revenue but also adding jobs and hundreds of billions in new taxes. This should have been a no brainer. But then these two took a giant step backward by filing a motion that would give W. and all his cronies immunity from all civil or criminal prosecution for war crimes. WTF? Is Obama channeling Gerald Ford right now? Bush and the like should have all been rounded up and shot for the damage they did this country (more on that later). I still dislike Eric Holder but if we can finally get some progress on inventing a brand new industry that may single handldly save this nation, I have to give him some props.

2)Scalia and Thomas of the Supreme Court- I have to give it to the Democrats this week who stomped some Republican ass this week. The GOP should be very scared of the upcoming election because all signs point to an epic fail if they keep doing exactly what they are doing. The Supreme Court is a good microcosm of the country right now. Ginsberg performed a gay wedding, the first justice to ever do so and good for her. Meanwhile the democrats, pissed beyond words that conservative judges have refused to recuse themselves from certain cases, have decided to try to take action. The two worst offenders being Thomas sitting on the Citizen's United ruling, even though his wife was heading the case or Scalia not sitting out the Bush debacle as his wife and son both worked for the Bush campaign. Seems unlike the rest of our court system, there is no ethics clause to force justices to sit out. And while liberal judges like Sotomayor do it all the time, the conservatives almost never do. This is odd because Tea Party idiots keep bitching about "activist judges" which more often than not are conservative. The Republican party is trying to destroy this country and have been doing so for as long as I have been alive. Check out this party platform from 1980 by the then separate Libertarian party, now hijacked onto the GOP roles:

\

The democrats are crafting a bill that would force ethics codes onto the Supreme Court. Whether it will pass or not is anyone's guess but I find refreshing that someone out there is trying to take control of a devolving situation.

3)Miley Cyrus- It was the lap dance heard across the world when former teen queen Cyrus took the stage at the VMA's last Sunday and proceeded to rip off her clothes, stick her tongue out of her mouth at every possible instance, and gyrate with a 36 year old man. Tweens everywhere were horrified at Hannah Montana twerking away with barely any clothes on and a bunch of drunken teddy bears dancing beside her. It was quite the spectacle and not in a good way. We get it. You're not a teen anymore. However, acting like a stripper isn't exactly showing your maturity either.

4)John McCain and Richard Blumenthal- Been a rocky week for Blumenthal as he is one of the co-sponsors of the bill above but has also signed on a bill with McCain that would make cable unaffordable for most people. Seems these two are still trying to pass an ala cart rule for cable that would allow people to pick and choose which channels they want. The problem with that is, if this passes, many channels will go out of business and if you like having lots of channels it would cost a bloody fortune. What is it with CT senators constantly fucking up how we pay for cable? Lieberman, against my wishes when I personally spoke to him about it, deregulated cable as a way for lower prices. Instead, because there were no price constraints anymore, my bill skyrocketed as I predicted. Fuck this bill and these two assholes for sponsoring it. Luckily, it has little support as cable companies see this as a death knell for them.

5)FBI- My disdain for the FBI is well known, and if what is being reported in Arizona is true, I will be having some douchy agents at my door any minute now. Seems some guy in Arizona posted a fact that we are becoming a police state and, if it continues, we may have to fight back. In true irony, the feds showed up a few hours later to interview him. He agreed, without a lawyer, which is most unwise, but the alternative according to the agents, was to have a no knock raid later. How is that not a police state? Blaine Cooper, 31, went on to say the FBI had records of his entire web history, his girlfriend's and his parents. How is that not illegal? He wisely went on to record all of this on YouTube in case "he disappeared." Is this what we have become, a Gestapo state where people disappear in the middle of the night or blow up in their car like Michael Hastings. One day, if this site goes dark, with no explanation why, know that I may have been whisked off to some lovely dark hole somewhere or, worse, Detroit.

6)Getaway- Selena Gomez in anything is a bad idea. Her music is TERRIBLE. It is overproduced nonsense, with a Bollywood sound lately and auto tune. I will say in the movie Spring Breakers she wasn't bad. That movie was a surprise as it should have been just trashy garbage but was directed with such skill that it actually worked. Her latest fiasco though, the Getaway, died in the box office this week and got some of the worst reviews for any movie this year. Her and Ethan Hawke in a movie, together. Yawn.

7)Tim Tebow- His NFL career appears over after he was cut by the Patriots this week for yet another lackluster performance during the pre-season. When are the religious lunatics going to accept the fact that this guy wasn't that good? He got lucky a few weeks in a row playing less than stellar teams and when he got to the Patriots lost all his mojo when they beat him soundly. He never recovered after that loss. Now he couldn't get a job as a third stringer. There's an opening at Shaws for a bag boy near me if he needs work.

8)Russia- They are really going all out in their desire to get rid of all gay people in their country, going so far as a door to door search for them this week in Moscow. This is not how to prepare for the Olympics which stands to be a giant embarrassment at this point. Gay people are people. Deal with it.

9)Republicans- It was a not a good week for the Republicans. The 50th anniversary of MLK's "I have a Dream" speech was held near the Lincoln memorial and NO Republicans attended. The media jumped all over this, especially Fox News and Bill O'Reilly, as a slight for not being invited. Then they had to eat crow when it turned out they were invited and no one decided to go. I further heard Nazi's like Cal Thomas have the gaul to say black people should be supporting the GOP because they were the good guys back in the 60's for civil rights, which they were. But that was fifty years ago and things have changed, something Republicans have no concept of. And then when Obama pulled a rabbit out of his hat and deferred the Syrian conflict onto Congress I had to stand up and applaud. In one fell swoop, he did exactly what Congress was screaming about and, after he had, the GOP realized they had been screwed. Some have tried to spin it the other way with little success. Charles Krauthammer called it "amateur hour," which is odd because in a previous column he demanded Congress be involved. Or Peter King who proved he is not fit for his job by saying the President had ruined the position of President for falling to follow the War Powers Act of 1972 when in reality, Obama did EXACTLY what the War powers act said and not the fiction that King was spreading. It's like he doesn't think we can look up what the law says. The GOP has to decide which they like better, war or hating Obama. Because this week, they cannot have both.

10)George W. Bush- Yes others before him have done horrific things to this country. As a matter of fact, there hasn't been a President since JFK, who hasn't done at least one truly bone headed move that has had lasting repercussions. Let's review. LBJ- Gulf of Tonkin lie that killed 56,000 people. Nixon- Watergate. Ford-Pardoning Nixon. Carter- The Iranian Hostage crisis. Regan- Trickle down economics. Bush- The First Iraqi war. Clinton- The derivative market and ending Glass Stegall. And then W whose handling of the 2nd Gulf War officially broke any trust the people had in their government. We've been lied to for so long that we no longer believe anything the government tells us. And because of that, the government has lost all legitimacy and will ultimately fail. When any trust in a country is lost, ruin happens soon after. John Kerry gave an impassioned speech this week about why we should go into Syria. The problem was we don't believe him. If you had a friend that lied constantly, you wouldn't buy into his nonsense and that's how we feel about America right now. We don't trust anything anyone says anymore because most of the time it is a lie. The economy is doing better right? Hardly. Unemployment is around 7% right? Not even close. Inflation is only 2-3% right? Try 11%. This is why we have morons out there who think Newtown and the Boston Bombings were false flag operations because they don't believe the official story about anything. The reason being is our government lies to us with alarming regularity. And as much as the previous presidents have all done serious harm, only W. may have done worse with his terrible economic plan that we are still digging ourselves out of and the lies he spread to invade countries we never should have. So congratulations George W. Bush you are not only the worst president ever, but also douchebag of the week.

  2. FFS Bill Clinton did NOT end Glass-Steagall. Now who's the bonehead? It was ended by a bipartisan congress. So he didn't veto it = he eliminated it? Get real. Congress had the votes. Stop blaming him for things he had no control over.
